‘Shogun’ Gives Disney Top Emmy for First Time in 19 Years
Disney claimed the top prize at the 2024 Emmy Awards, winning best drama for Shogun, an adaptation of James Clavell’s 1975 novel and the first series in a language other than English to claim that prize. Crimson Sky was never going to be a huge battle, it was Mariko herself, there were details hinting that before it was revealed. Some people just didn’t pay attention to the details

Shogun is a great drama because it depicts the world as we Japanese do, not the wrong view of the Japanese world as portrayed in Hollywood.
