I hope they add sky’s voice back as an option later. I actually prefer listening to sky rather than scarlett johansson.

It’s not an “OpenAI voice”. It’s “Scarlett Johansson’s voice that OpenAI appropriated without permission”.

So OpenAI is lying about using a totally different voice artist for Sky’s voice then?

It doesn’t seem the same to me.

Apart from the AI aspect, will anyone who sounds like her be sued if they make a public speech?

It’s not that simple. If they used her work to create Sky’s voice with no consent and the ChatGPT messes up on anything, it may affect her image and future. I think it’s cautionary of her to ask for proof and it DOES make sense.

@@tiagomaqz The Voice of Sky is not a new feature; it has been available for about a year. Have you tried it recently on your device? Do you think the Sky on GPT-4o is the same as shown in the advertisements? In my experience, the answer is no. The Sky sound on our devices does not even match what is advertised. So, which sound of Sky exactly?

I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to a decent 💲950k within 3 months. I’m especially grateful to Andras Bohm, for exposure to different areas of the market..

Because someone’s voice is their personal property and you don’t get to use it without their permission

In my opinion, OpenAI could have found a talented actress who is not a celebrity with opposing views on AI.
In that case, it would have become an inspiring act as well.

Another issue that is strange and concerning to me is that privacy laws are increasingly being used to oppose artificial intelligence, rather than spending more time and even promoting understanding of deep learning models. When we understand something, we can better measure or control it.

    We are losing time!

What utter nonsense … didn’t think Scarlet was that greedy … and to the person who actually did the Sky voiceover … you sound far better than … her 🙂

Greedy Sam Altman, thinking that he can use other peoples property to make a profit. Elon and fanboy are in the section, whining like children.
