What features do you want to see on the new Google/Samsung Wear OS watches?

I want an OS as refined as the Apple Watch is for iOS. It’s what I love about mine, it feels well optimised and I love the high quality first party animated watch faces, as opposed to what’s currently on the Tizen store with lower quality third party options. Samsung makes good hardware and Tizen is already better than Wear OS, it just needs to compete against the Apple Watch in terms of integration for Android users.

At one point I thought I was watching the Apple event as shameless Samsung and Google’s combined One UI Watch even ripped off the Memoji watch faces. 😂🤦‍♂️

I have a Samsung Fit Pro 2 to donate. You pay for shipping. It has water damage but powers on with a white screen briefly. Charger not included. It should get this UI update too.

God so the update will make all watch look exacly as the Apple software ?

    • User

      June 29, 2021 at 4:12 pm

I hope it does… they definitely need a few lessons of OS design from watchOS. It’s what Android users deserve after years of mediocre watch interfaces. Tizen was ok, but still lacked the polish of watchOS.

      June 29, 2021 at 5:05 pm

@User I never used Android watches. But lately even Windows I copying everything from Apple. We won’t have much difference between systems if it keep going that way

hm..is this galaxy watch providing advantage in terms of Samsung ecosystem, if any, what is it?i have a S21 Ultra, wanting a watch thats like iPhone+iWatch combo.
otherwise, I’ll buy Amazfit GTR 2 instead.(price is none of my concern here, just liking GTR 2 calling feature that even absurdly expensive Garmin watches dont have)

Having switched to the Galaxy line and Galaxy Watch Active 2, we still miss our iPhone and the iWatch after 2 years. I still feel burned when Samsung removed features I used on the Active 2. I just don’t look at it the same anymore and can’t wait for the next iPhone/iWatch release this year.

Since MST is dead I want something in my wrist that last more than 48 hours without charging… I think ima gonna switch to Fitbit Sense or the next Fitbit 2021, the only way that Samsung can enchant me is a new Smartwatch that have like 4 or 5 day battery life if not…. Fitbitwagon guys!

They need to fix the battery life when location/GPS is turned on. I do a lot of hiking and use the GPS feature when I go for walks but having it turned on results in the battery dying within a few hours whereas having it turned off would give me days of battery life.
