idk, unless you are a student maybe, I feel like laptops are a thing of the past, just like wrist watches. Smartphones have 7″ screens and you can get cheap 10″ tablets to take care of any on-the-go business stuff.
I’ve been for over a year on an iPad Pro as my main computer and I agree 100%, basically anything you can and want to do on the go can be done through a browser or an app, and anything you can’t you really don’t want to be doing on a tiny keyboard/screen and/or on a coffee shop, Right now I have a Mac mini for my desktop setup that basically works as my at-home server and I just sit there for work, and with stuff like Screens 4, you can just remote work into it from the iPad with full trackpad gesture and keyboard support. With a smart setup you can even use the iPad as the primary display for the mini and have both OSs available without needing the external display or peripheral. And well, I do have an Watch but exclusively for fitness tracking, not because I need to read the time…
You still have to wear the mask as the vaccine is not 100% cure. There are 104+ strains/mutations and the vaccine won’t stop you from getting infected if you are not careful.
The vaccine just gives you a 20% tolerance and a chance to build immunity but as the virus mutates the vaccine becomes less effective. To make it easier to understand look at the common flu. When there is a new flu going around the old vaccine is useless and a new one needs to be made. The same applies for Covid but this vaccine is a cure for maybe 1-5 strains when there are 104 known strains and many new mutations.
Sadly wearing a mask, social distancing and having good hygiene will be compulsory for a long long time till Covid stops mutating and we have vaccines for all the strains. 😞😞😞
I’m actually glad that this still use x86, the claimed battery life seems great and most importantly, no compatibility issues as Windows on ARM still buggy fest lol
@Buddy305luv lol now you will pull every gimmick that 90% of people dont care about. motorola made something like dex a decade ago and abandoned it. windows phone did it, it is now dead. ubuntu touch did it, and its dead too. clearly it is not a product pushing feature as people like you would hope. and those slotted in styli are just dumb, more so on a smartphone. but there are always the same 100 people that bark about how useful the s pen is. it is funny to see samsung abandon the slotted stylus on their latest 360 laptop too.
@Buddy305luv like i said you can pick out these dumb gimmicks here and there and it really is just a sign of companies desperate to get the edge on apple, it is so sad. folding phones are gimmicky. we have had flexible oled panels for over a decade. but it just shouldnt be put into a device. and the fact that these screens crack before a year is pretty telling.
@misfortune architect I know about all the other devices that did it. I still own one of them. HP windows phone. I used it then too. Very useful. Some PPL said Always On Display, and widgets was a gimmick. Look it now. Two very useful tools for some.
The stylus is a lot bigger. So no slot for the 360 but it still supports it.
@Buddy305luv lol i already predicted your response, you will keep on bringing up these gimmicks and try to exaggerate their importance, but the iphone xr and 11 were the top selling phone in the world and did not have aod or dex mode. these are gimmicks, they are extra bells and whistles that people dont consider integral to their smartphone experience. i have a samsung s8 and i just keep the aod off, now i am using a pixel 4a and i keep the aod off as well. but its your word against mine, i do not have statistics at hand.
@misfortune architect AOD is a gimmick to you because you don’t use it. Force touch was a gimmick to me on the iPhone because I never used it the whole year I had the iPhone X. But; I don’t look at it that way because there are folks out there that use them both. I know a few. LOL. Let’s leave it at “To each its own” LOL.
Your words are not gonna do anything mister, I’ve seen your other comments lol, you don’t control things. You’re merely wasting your time and worse, you’re spreading this negativity. If you don’t like it, then stay away from it, very simple.
Cnet – “is this a early prototype design?”
Samsung- “No, we spent 2 billion designing these laptops.”
CNET- “oh neat…they really stand out from the competition..”
@ThaaMilkMan funny? Probably not. But I wasn’t being serious either, so calm down a bit. I just found it funny that the CNET editor thought it was a prototype. I also find these laptops a little boring, but that’s besides the point.
