OnePlus 10T Review: The Most POINTLESS Phone of 2022
OnePlus 10T is the most pointless phone in 2022, at least according to Andrew Lanxon. In this review, Andrew walks us through why he thinks the OnePlus 10T makes too many compromises to be a good phone. Subscribe to CNET: Never miss a deal again! They are doing a promotion that for $649 preorder there’s a free 16/256 upgrade.

@ManU4ever what is the deadline of this promotion

@xin zhao I think 8/12. I think if u have a OnePlus phone, u can trade in with $50 bonus and another $50 off to link it to the app.

Why can’t you just judge a phone on its own merits rather than engage in this embarrassing hyperbole? It’s honestly cringe inducing. But here’s a prediction, you won’t have any snarky headlines about the flip or Fold or the iPhone 14 (which will be recycling the same chip as last year).
It’s just so transparent. If the phone is from a popular brand you treat it with respect, anything besides Samsung or Apple — which dominate the market share and the algorithm — you dismiss with this surface level snark.

This phone has awesome specs for $650, kind of hard to hate on it for that price.

unlike other neutral reviewers out there i really appreciate reviewers that have a strong point of view.
i am a lifetime iPhone user and i would definitely appreciate some strong views on their every year pointless and minimalistic changes to their phones.
after 4 years of same design now we finally have 20% less notch, wow!!

Oneplus has lost the plot! No alert slider.. it’s not a OnePlus anymore.. moving on.. it’s just another Android phone like the rest..

$650… I’ll trade in my Galaxy S21+ for it. I don’t take much pictures, don’t wireless charge, hate curve screens, current phone is 1080p, don’t want/need mute switch. Snapdragon 888 to 8+ Gen 1. This phone is for me.

No need to be afraid of BATTERY HEALTH, Fast battery charging technology is already very good. The technology applied is very protective, Smartphones with large charging speeds are the same as regular fast charging. The battery will degrade in performance after 3 years. It is reasonable

I disagree mainly due to $650 price point

Conveniently forgot to compare the prices to fit his “pointless” narrative. Also, flat screens are way better. CNET settled on this reviewer

Pointless maybe but I do like the color! Also is it pointless at a price point it is at? If it were prices same as 10 Pro I would agree but it isn’t so bad at the price.

Very worried about OnePlus. They are in danger of turning into HTC. Churning out too many ridiculous reiteration phones with poor software and poor support. They will collapse at this rate

I totally disagree with him, im using 10pro for the last 4 months, i must say the phone gets too hot and it can’t handle competitive games at all. I’m selling my 10pro to get 10T, OnePlus themselves agreed and made lot of changes on this department in 10T. I don’t give a F about cameras. If you are a hardcore user, never get 10 pro, chipset itself a failure from Snapdragon thats y they changed the manufacturing to tsmc instead of samsung

Awful review. Phone isn’t pointless. $650 with awesome specs? I’m in. Who cares if the phone is less premium than the 10 Pro? Isn’t that the point with the price point? If you want the best, premium quality phone, you’re reviewing the wrong phone. Check out the ones selling for over $1K.

Everyone using the shiny green back model for reviews and criticizing it. But 10T has a black textured back option. And curved screen does NOT say “premium” to me, so that rules out 10 Pro from the start. I hate curved screens so much.

This video is a big thumbs down. Way down. To say the phone isn’t worth it. I would rather buy this phone over a phone that costs over $1k. Sure, the cameras aren’t as pretty, the screen isn’t as bright, but it’s cheaper and affordable. That’s what the T line is. Lower cost than the previous with premium features. Also, you get four OS updates, which is a big deal to many. I would get this phone over the pro series. Andrew, redo the video. I respect you, but you just nitpick over little stuff all because they lowered the phone price and took out some stuff that you love.

Pointless points! After all the reviews and considering the price (16gb for the price of 8 gb for next few days pre-order), pulled the trigger. Your view is probably ok for someone who owns 10 pro, but for someone who’s upgrading from an earlier version, less leverage to go for the pricey 10pro

The flat screen is actually an improvement. The biggest letdown is the removal of the alert slider. That’s what made them unique. I use it religiously.

Oneplus really just making pointless products these days. If they need to stay relevant, they need to start listening to their customers again.
Until then, I’m switching away from oneplus.

most stupid review ever, they finally are comming back to their cheaper phone with flagship processor concept.

August 4, 2022 at 7:57 am
Why are you comparing a pro level phone that costs more to the T models? Oneplus’ T variants were never meant to be above the pro line.
They generally sacrifice some things and incorporate features that the next iteration will get at a reduced cost.
Linus did the exact same mistake withe the 7T that you guys are exhibiting here in this review.

This is embarrassing hyperbole. I know it drives engagement to be confrontational but can’t you have a little bit of professionalism? It’s a $630 flagship with 150 watt charger IN THE BOX. You don’t even mention that this phone is nearly 30% cheaper than the 10 pro and doesn’t have the thermally challenged Qualcomm chip.
Stop with the click bait and just give people an honest assessment. I don’t even use OnePlus and this kind of dismissive coverage pisses me off.
Tech YouTube is a joke.

You missed the mark on this one. The entire appeal of OnePlus is EXACTLY this: A phone that is comparable but slightly below the flagships in performance but only about 60% of the cost. The cost has always been their strongest aspect, the value comparison.

Here in USA One Plus offer today (Ago 04/22) 10T with 16 gb ram and 256 storage memory $649 dlls and if link your phone to OnePlus app you can Get $ 50dlls extra discount and in my case I have OnePlus 6T 8-128 on Trade-In they give me $80dlls plus a bonus special $50 off on trade-in if buy 10T so $130 dlls for OP 6T (2018), OnePlus offer AFFIRM financial plan 12-24 months APR 0% $0 down-payment so WOW .
At the end One Plus 10T 16-254 price tag $749 – $100 (OP promo) – $50 (Special bonus) – $130 (Trade -in) = $469 dlls for REPLACE my 6T to 10T and only Im going to pay $19.50 a month for 24 month for a financial.
Can you tell me better phone for replace just for $19.50 a month?
Super Value
Maybe it is a little short on specs. like a flagship phone but no other phone have the real tag price and financial rate like this SO… IS a “flagship KILLER”?

Reasons to switch:
-10T is cheaper
-More Pros than my 9 (You have to consider what other phones people might be switching from. Not everyone jumps from the model a few months ago…)
-Flat screen is better. Its not a negative. Most people agree.
-You only compared 1 back and the fact that the other back on the better 10T has the similar “sandblasted” effect negates your point.
-Left out upgraded Bluetooth and wireless features(If they are bad then you should address them butt you didn’t)
-Better speeds
-Better charge. 10mins can be a lot in some situations.
-High MP Main Camera
Negatives:
-Lower resolution
-lower MP Wideview
-No hasselblad support
Seems like the pros are better. Other channels did a better review job.
