More expensive in every way. Hard pass. Better off with a Steamdeck

The original Nintendo was 200. The games were 50. That was in 1985.
Adjusted for inflation that’s $595 and $148.
GameCube games in 2000 were still $50. Adjusted for inflation that’s $85 today.
Prices SHOULD go up over time. It sure costs more to make a game now than 15 years ago, or 25 years ago, or however far back you want to go.
If you’re too poor to afford an $80 game … definitely don’t worry about it.
In the state I live in minimum wage for McDonald’s workers is $20 per hour. So, the games cost about 4-5 hours of work to buy if you … flip burgers for a living.
Those GameCube games were 8 hours of work for that same worker according to looking up minimum wage at that time.
SURE seems like prices should be going up.

The NES games were from $30-$50. Moot point. I get what you are saying…”adjusting for inflation” but the prices were considered very high in 1985 as well. So it was expensive then and still expensive now despite inflation. Not sure how that makes your argument any better.

Steam Deck is an overhyped and overpriced mess, with the most annoying fans on the internet, they will spam “Steam Deck is better” comments on every video even if the video is not remotely related. And I’m saying this as a PC gamer who tried the SD.

@@Gle-lv2fm steam deck owners are the most pathetic lol. Their steam deck can’t even outsold Wii U lmao
