What would happen if they rejected his offer and made the changes he would have made

If Twitter rejects the offer then they have to pay a $1 billion breakout/termination fee and have to answer shareholders why Elon’s offer was rejected. Then, shareholders may start suing the board for years.

@Deepu and Elon has to pay $1billion if he pulls out. This is the definition of at your seat pants investing, he didn’t even know that bots make up less than 5% of the platform.

    • Deepu

      May 15, 2022 at 5:53 am

@justtestingonce But is it less than 5% though?!

    • justtestingonce

      May 15, 2022 at 6:56 am

@Deepu yes and its looking more and more like Eleon just decided this as a quad joke and got more serious about it as it went along. Twitter’s issue is not bots or free speech, since we’ve seen what happens to platforms with no content moderation. Twitter is just not a typical social network, its the most important information network. What does facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok all have in common that Twitter doesn’t? They all center around pics and video on a network about your social life. Twitter on the other hand is not pic or video dominated, its information dominated, a tweet. The only other company to successfully monetize public information is google search. Elon has been bullshitting since his PayPal days when he got kicked out trying to change their servers from linux to windows.

@Avraham Avraham Not really. He literally said there’s no legitimate bot problem.

Twitter is a dumpster fire, always been, always will be. I never thought it was worth Elon’s time to save it. Today I would not hold any stock even at $20 much less at $40 but I have held stock in the past. Simply put Twitter never has and never will hold the investor’s best interest at heart, and the company is driven to drive away profits for other interests.

Lol probably to do with the fact that Elon has lost billions over the recent market crash. He just needs an excuse to prolong this deal while Teslas market price recovers

Stupid analyst. Any random dude who follows Musk and has basic understanding of Economics could’ve done a better job.

I mean ‘Elon is not a serious person’? You mean the guy who’s the head engineer of the world’s most advanced orbital launch program?

The quicker Elon gets on board the better, this interview convinced me of that even more!

This Jason Goldman guy clearly doesn’t understand how Elon Musk works. Elon is a genius person and knows what he is doing. “Do not bet against Elon Musk”, those who closely follow him know that.

  21. Doodle Man

it would seem that EM is in cahoots with strump and family and the gopsa’a to maybe sink @TWITTER for their supposed bans and wanting to help their new social media enterprise. @TWITTER is mostly liberal and the right wing will not be satisfied until they either control it or dissolve it.
but could also be trying to lower the share value to make his offer more acceptable.
