The Fallout title screen at :11 is from a community mod called “Fallout: Miami” and is not an official Bethesda release. Sorry for any confusion.

I would hate to see fallout, and elder scrolls, and the upcoming Starfield to become exclusive to Xbox.

As much as I enjoyed Elder Scrolls 4, 5 and Fallout 3, New Vegas. The last decade has shown use that other companies are capable of producing great “western style” RPGs. We have great games Like The Dark Souls games, Dragons Dogma, Kingdoms of Amalur, and The Witcher 3 to name a few. So if Microsoft does go exclusive with Zenimax and Bethesda games, it will be sad but great games will continue to grace other systems.

Idk man, I love shinji mikami games and im switching over because I do not want to miss out on any of tango gameworks games after tokyo ghost wire, same with doom, we are talking about more than elder scrolls and fallout, this is a huge deal.

When they announced the EA deal, I had a feeling this would be next steps for MS. I have feeling they will be buying up a few more to role them in and make this massive library of game content

I think the PS5 will be the last one I buy I feel like from here on out it’s not going to be in my favor. I’ve always had this thought that Sony will end up just being game developer not a console developer.

Microsoft couldn’t have tiktok so they saw 7 billion as a steal

    • Michael Yearwood

      September 22, 2020 at 12:38 am

Funny enough they were going to pay 40 billion for tik tok and just said here’s a small fraction of it for your entire company

  18. Darrell Willis

    September 22, 2020 at 12:04 am

I understand Microsoft is trying to get over sony in terms of games but they still don’t have good exclusives and the PS5 is going to yet again kill Xbox in terms of games and playability I already Xbox fan boys are going to try and come for this comment Soo I’ll finish by saying idgaf about specs or none of that

    • BFREEG

      September 22, 2020 at 1:09 am

You say “xbox fanboys”, but you are an obsessed sony fanboy, lmao

    • Darrell Willis

      September 22, 2020 at 1:16 am

@BFREEG actually I’m not a fanboy of neither one why should I care about a company that doesn’t pay me I also play both but it’s obvious which console is better when it comes to games

I don’t buy those Epic game store only games, so shame on Microsoft pulling the same stunt.

    • BFREEG

oh but sony have their only games too, fanboy!!!!

  22. JimmyB

    September 22, 2020 at 1:02 am

I’m going to get Series X instead of PS5 for sure now. Bethesda has way 2 many great games to pass that up.

  23. Daniel Simpson

    September 22, 2020 at 1:11 am

With a high end gaming PC, I just can’t see a reason to buy an Xbox if all of these games are coming to both platforms.

  24. Brody Brown

    September 22, 2020 at 1:23 am

If the Series S can maintain the promise of 1440p at 120 FPS, then I don’t see the need to go with any other console at this point

  29. GenreOnline

    September 22, 2020 at 8:33 am

I predict XBOX Live will be a huge universal service that will even be available on the PlayStation 5 because Sony will acknowledge the importance of cross platform sharing and just as you can run Microsoft Office on a PC, MAC and possibly Android, Microsoft’s subscription based gaming service will prove too valuable to refuse in the same way now you have cross platform apps and streaming across platforms and brands that years ago were stark competitors. Like it or not, gaming will become completely ubiquitous of device used. Only content is king.

Will my game stop to update in the middle of a fire fight? This is never good for the consumer. More Microsoft is bad for everyone on the planet.

Bethsada haven’t made any good games since Elder scrolls from 2008 😂 this is not a big deal and Sony has way better games.

    Quality over quantity.
    Ps5 is way ahead.

  34. Niggle W

    September 22, 2020 at 12:35 pm

Microsoft has bought great studios and companies like Rare, Lionhead, Ninja Theory, Ensemble and they still dont get a good games on their platform. They probably just treat the studios like crap once they buy them. THIS AINT EXCITING, ITS INFURIATING! They’ll probably screw up Elder Scrolls!!!!!

    • Emanuel De La Cruz

      September 22, 2020 at 1:15 pm

      We have a new CEO

  35. Niggle W

    September 22, 2020 at 12:43 pm

Once Microsoft buys one these studios, if the budget starts to get high, they probably never get to finish the game. Thats probably why we never get to see any real new Age of Empire, Fable or great Rare games just silly stuff. You guys honestly believe a game like Elder Scrolls is not going to be affected by the executive mindset of Microsoft. The game is either going to get gimped like crazy or we’ll never get it!!!!

  36. CJGomez

    September 22, 2020 at 1:47 pm

People do realize Xbox being Xbox/PC/Gamepass/xcloud(mobile) makes the statement on more then one system still true as xbox ecosystem is on all those devices. People need to stop being biased against Xbox and accept it. If Sony bought Bethesda you would see the media praise exclusivity.

  37. Happy Cat

    September 22, 2020 at 1:49 pm

Playstation bois crying their eyes out. No fallout for you, no elder scrolls for you. no Doom, evil within, dishonored etc etc for you. Yah, and no starfield for you.

  38. Davon Norton

    September 22, 2020 at 2:02 pm

Doesn’t really change my stance. I still enjoy PS games alot better and pre-ordered one already. Plus I’m building a PC next year so need for an Xbox for me

Cnet, I’m sure Tom Howard was referring to the Xbox ecosystem which is Xbox console, PC and Streaming on Android devices for now. That does not include Playstation or Nintendo maybe.

How is Todd Howard not removed from the team 😑

  48. Eroded Corpse

    September 23, 2020 at 5:33 am

I highly doubt Bethesda games won’t start to be exclusive to Xbox and PC, you don’t drop 7.5 billion just to keep it on PlayStation

  49. Breadloafer

    September 23, 2020 at 8:07 am

    Oh fak

  50. RabbitOnKrack

    September 23, 2020 at 1:43 pm

These games are definitly becoming exclusive. Todd Howards got no influence in where stuff will go

  51. C Man

    September 23, 2020 at 1:49 pm

I’ve had an Xbox since 2008 but I’m not brand loyal, I was very close to switching to PS5 because all the amazing exclusives I missed out on this past generation. The acquisition of Bethesda etc shows me Gampass is what you need if you want to have the best game’s on release for a cheap monthly subscription. They made my decision for me. Series X here is come! Although I had no luck pre-ordering yesterday… i’ll just buy a PS4 when they turn dirt cheap and finally play God of war, spider man, last of us 2, and horizon zero dawn and call it a day LOL

  52. Matt Ball

    September 23, 2020 at 2:40 pm

Deprive sony of lots of big titles or dip their fingers into that big ol sony wallet and let the purchase pay for itself? Hmm lol
