People need to stop thinking about “upsides”. There is a clear and present danger in this election if Trump should prevail. It will not be “four more years” if Trump wins. Trump orchestrated a coup and he won’t be leaving if he wins again. Trump has told us that he will use the DOJ to go after his enemies and has named names. He has said he will eliminate career service, as he tried to do in his last administration and he will succeed this time, replacing them with loyalists. This will give him huge control over administrative agencies as presidents already appoint department heads. Trump will go after the liberal press and has mentioned MSNBC, in particular. And he will try to co-opt the military, as he tried before. These are actions taken by dictators. Dictators like Trump admires: Putin, Kim Jong, and yes, Hitler. America will not see another free and fair election. Republicans say that democrats are at fault for the assassination attempt on Trump. This is wrong. How can we not point out that Trump, who is an insurrectionist, will be a dictator. What we say is vote Blue, which does not mean kill. Unlike Trump, we believe in democracy.
