Picture your favorite place in nature. How would you feel if it disappeared tomorrow? In this love letter to the planet, social worker and environmental activist Knut Ivar Bjørlykhaug invites us to confront the deep, difficult emotions — love, sorrow and even rage — born from climate-driven ecological loss in order to act in service of our collective home.
The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). It’s only recently we weren’t working sunup to sundown just to scrape out another day of survival for our children; unfortunately, industrialization and mass production has had some unintended consequences. Yet innovation has given us solutions, so let’s overcome our fear of nuclear power and fix this problem.

Bro…..life wasn’t THAT goddamn harsh lolol If we’re smart enough to invent Nuclear Energy……you don’t think we weren’t smart enough to get better at the very BASIC activities we did for thousands of years? lol
Ya’ll gotta stop believing hollywood.

Emotions should not be powering anything. That’s not how you should be making any sort of important decision.

@Ken Romero the reason Christian biblical prophecy remains relevant is because of the ambiguity of most of the predictions.
The climate religion adherents believe in very unambiguous prophecy that never comes to pass

Ohmilord, what utter, leftist drivel. More uber-environmental clap trap. Man is evil. Nature is good. We should all be dressed in twigs and leaves, eating grass, living fully in nature. All due to the fiction that is climate change. Lemme summarize- the Earth has been evolving for 6 billion years and will continue to do so, long after mankind has departed this planet. Get over it.

I’m sad you want to geoengineer the weather by spraying chemicals.
I’m sad you want to make glycophosphate legal to use.
I’m sad you want to genetically modify plants and animals.
These are the things that concern me……..not climate change.

Climate activists are motivated by narcissism, bourgeois status seeking and class snobbery. They presume to be better than their fellow citizens, morally and intellectually. Extinction rebellion has such contempt for (and lack of understanding of ) the productive and working people that it will screw with their lives as if they didn’t matter -shutting down city streets and wrecking their livelihoods. It is the arrogance of the aristocratic class, holding themselves above the law, insisting that their pet concerns get given priority, and indifferent to the harm they inflict.

It’s really all about management when in America we have two opposing political parties. And in our international world opposing ideologies, spending so much energy trying to control all other forms of life, we have instability. This is not natural it’s a pathology that needs many solutions, and unfortunately too many ideologies are driven by greed, over a man-made system of exchange, not worthy of the cost.
