Lenovo already have big failures for years with their flexpad 5 hinges, so would never buy this. I am not even sure who would want this?. Who did ok this idea at Lenovo lol 🙂

Why?! It would be way easier to just manually open the laptop or to turn the display. 🤔

We know, but just admit that it is very cool

How long will it take to break or fail, one day, two days?😂

    Useless

Let’s make the hinge, the bit that always breaks, even more intricate and prone to breaking.

Right? That plus a motor to control it? Sounds like an absolute nightmare for repairability

    Why tho

Ya cause laptops don’t have battery life issues already.

What is WD-40 if not a lubricant? No one else uses it on door hinges?

Why do I need that functionality

  11. @ravety-eruko

    January 10, 2026 at 10:53 am

    Is that really necessary?
It’s faster to open or close by hand

I hope all 4 of you enjoy that feature 😅

    Useless features for useless people

    January 10, 2026 at 12:08 pm

    That’s cool but unnecessary.

CES is cooked, they completely ran out of innovation and good ideas.

    So what

  17. @GamersJoyRide

    January 10, 2026 at 12:34 pm

And your repair cost would be $5000 ma’am.

This is what happens when you have to increase shareholder value every quarter 😂 what a silly little idea

Anyone who says that WD-40 is not a lubricant has probably never used tools before

  20. @jonvalde

    January 10, 2026 at 1:18 pm

    Nobody needs this 😂

  21. @Summ3rRyan

    January 10, 2026 at 1:23 pm

    How ridiculous

  22. @nintendolord

    January 10, 2026 at 1:24 pm

The repairing cost is probably going to be like a thousand or more dollars because of the hinge mechanism and motor 😂

  23. @Dr_Louisy10

    January 10, 2026 at 1:36 pm

    Only on paper as “concept”

  24. @AI-Lipp

    January 10, 2026 at 4:16 pm

Or you could just open it 🙄

No way too many things can go wrong.
