This will be one of the best budget gaming laptops of the year. I am interested in the screen brightness, panel response and battery size of both models.

Yeah the refresh rate brightness and srgb is super nice and impressive, looking forward to the battery performance review

The battery life and thermals would be the buy or don’t

    • Daniel Duedu

      February 28, 2022 at 3:10 pm

@CHIMEZIE EME UKONU Don’t have much info on the thermals but there will be 2 battery sizes for the 15 inch version 60WHr or 45WHr and a 71WHr battery for the 16 inch version. Considering Intel 12th Gen’s power performance these systems might have decent battery life based on the battery capacity. If the AMD variants have the same battery sizes then the 16 inch will have a great battery life.

@Daniel DueduYes the AMD should have good battery life depending on how well they optimize it. I feel the price is also ridiculous because it’s almost priced in the same category as the legion 5 series

      February 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm

I thought Asus TUF have some issues and people said to avoid it. At least the earlier versions

The time can’t be more convenient. I’m actually have shortlisted this laptop among HP Victus 16 and Acer Nitro 5 for my first gaming laptop. Is there anyone who had use this Lenovo laptop for half a year at least can attest whether it have some issue or not?

U can probably just look up long term reviews

i have this sceptical indecision regarding 1st gen devices such as victus. almost in all brands, the 1st gen would be the one with the most complaints. as for the victus 16, it will be gen 2 in Q2 2022 release, i also think that it is worth the consideration to check thoroughly in forums for early generation devices. cheers

A entry level laptop starting around $1k. No. That’s ridiculous.

    • Vortex Gamer

      February 28, 2022 at 3:59 pm

1k for a rtx 3050 is the standard norm tbh, I am glad that they are squeezing the GTX cards out

    • Anonymous Llama

      March 2, 2022 at 12:46 pm

isnt it the norm these days? i cant think any other device will have significantly cheaper price differences than this.

    • Vortex Gamer

      March 2, 2022 at 1:08 pm

It’s significantly cheaper than building a PC nowadays

This is awesome! Now gamers don’t have to look to an Acer Nitro 5 for budget gaming options. If only Asus can give us a $1K gaming laptop…..

Probably the most reasonably put out device atm. Compared to even some gaming laptops which budget model becoming fully fledged flagships I’d say this is pretty reasonable. If only company could at least fork out decent lower to midrange devices, I’d be sold. Definitely worth the lookout list.

      March 2, 2022 at 4:48 am

Kinda agree, I don’t like the design of display bezel & exhaust vent. But this current version is looking better than the previous one.

i think its way better than its competitors: nitro, pavilion g, msi (i forgot the series). in its price point, only TUF (but the cooling sucks af) and victus (silly display) were arguably better looking. its minimalist and pretty sleek for a gaming device

      March 2, 2022 at 1:45 pm
