Battery on the SE is horrible. Way worse than Pixel 3a. I bet you had to stop shooting and charge the SE. I had the SE and noticed that with using the screen 3 hours taking photos, listening to music, and/or playing games and the SE completely dies.

iPhone SE isn’t worth it in my opinion.

🧐 I have the iphone se & the battery life lasts me most of the day . At first it wasn’t great but I believe the phone adjusted to my usage because now it lasts, even more if I turn off location & things like that 👍

Bottom line, I can get this for my 9 year old and functionally he’ll be fine. He won’t be able to win a popularity contest or have FaceID but man would he be alright. And I save $300!

    • TheBluGummy

As a 9 year old, he will probably win a popularity contest having any iPhone

    • Bible Thumber

      April 28, 2020 at 4:14 pm

Emmanuel Celajes yes they could’ve but didn’t. But there is an app you can get that will do it. And an app to get portrait imagines of things other than people.

    • Md.Nazmul Alam Evan

      April 28, 2020 at 6:39 pm

Third-party camera apps like “Neuralcam” can be used for night mode on SE

iPhone SE 2020 wins. $300 less, Touch ID, no stupid notch, iPhone 11 quality is only about 5% better. No big deal

  13. Bible Thumber

    April 28, 2020 at 4:19 pm

Ok “To be fair you can’t test the iPhone SE against things it doesnt have” then you proceed to do just that many times. I think the last review you did on this phone was much more fair. If I want to take professional or extreme quality photos I carry my Sony a6000 , but it’s such a bummer that it doesnt send text messages or make calls…

Third-party camera apps like “Neuralcam” can be used for night mode on SE. Also this app allows all the cameras to have night mode while the stock cam only allows on the main rear camera.

    • Munawar Salim

Neural cam is good.. but it brightens up the image resulting less dynamic range

    • Md.Nazmul Alam Evan

      April 29, 2020 at 7:25 am

@Cram You cant afford to pay 3 dollars. You don’t seem to be owning an IPhone anytime soon.

    • Md.Nazmul Alam Evan

      April 29, 2020 at 7:27 am

@Munawar Salim it allows to take night shots with all lenses. Quality is decent. It’s better than not having the mode at all.

So disappointed by the fact they used the same camera as in the iPhone 8… Not even the one in the iPhone XR.

Some people say the camera is from the XR/XS

  31. Meissnerflux

    April 29, 2020 at 6:54 am

Same sensor as the iPhone 8. Does it even have different radios than the 8? Lazy from apple . Deep Fusion and Night Mode missing. Why even have an A13 if we can’t use these powerful camera modes?

    • Md.Nazmul Alam Evan

      April 29, 2020 at 7:30 am

Just use Neuralcam camera app for night mode.

  32. Øystein

    April 29, 2020 at 7:18 am

Uhm.. NO! The light does not get blowed out because of what FPS it films HDR in… It has to do with HOW it uses HDR (software) and sensor differences (hardware) etc. FPS has absolutely NOTHING to do with this at all! In fact it should in theory be better in 30 fps than 60 fps because of the prosessing. But not even that is the case.
I think the A13 chip is overrated. In unrealistic benchmarks it comes out great but in real life it’s not better than any other top range chipset. Or even worse in some cases because if the low amount of RAM in iPhones. But on the other hand for the price the iPhone SE is a good option for people who like iOS. First iPhone that is not seriously overpriced.

I recently had the Samsung galaxy a51 but sold it to get the iPhone se and in comparison I much prefer the iPhone. It’s faster and offers a better experience imo. Both are great choices but I’d choose the se over the a51 everytime.

    • J T

      April 30, 2020 at 5:40 am

What were the cons of the a51? Interested to know because I have a note 10 plus and I prefer my iPhone 11 (6.1).
