    semi fab bussiness does not bring you the profit, only the design bussiness gives instant profit and many more patents potential profit in the future. TSMC makes the chip, but does not design the chip, nor tsmc makes ic equipmemts for the chips. TSMC is an assmebly plant which sophiscate machinery imported from ASML. Nvidia does not make the chip, and it designs the chip. now it is big enough to buy 8 TSMC with the money it has.
