Great point on having to sign up for YET another service. That would be a no go for me with the Bose.

i wish they could talk about the optics used by each model, how good are the sunglases in the bose compared to something like a pair of raybans / oakleys?

I would like to believe in the future of the product, but these companies really need to step up their game. We Need imoroved Battery Life and Sound Quality across the board. Most people who I know that purchased the Bose Glasses all say the same thing. The Bass is horrible but if you need it for podcast or calls in a quiet environment they work. That’s just not good enough.

Great and informative video as always @Ashley.
it’s definitely an interesting idea that may have some niche potential… though I have my doubts it’ll really take off in the mass market. There are quite a few issues that will kill this:
The main problem is that frame selection is extremely subjective and taking to account varying tastes & style preferences (not to mention fashion-forward folks wouldn’t want only 1 frame). Unless these and similar companies have hundreds of models on offer it’ll be hard to get market penetration.
Perceived sound quality is another concern with varying music genres being a major factor.
The final nail in this concept’s coffin is the price point. As you mentioned, a good pair of earbuds cost nowhere near $150 to $250. Considering they are significantly cheaper, tiny, light, hardly noticable, & will have better sound quality. It’s definitely a hard pass for me.

How do they work? Are they bone conducting? Can other people hear what you put on through these? And most importantly, can I use these with prescription lenses? I just have so many questions I want answered before I consider buying a pair of these glasses frames.

I thought this was going to about glasses that could record and display things on screen… Meh no I’m not interested, I like my bose headphones and my Oakley transition glasses thanks. Come back and see me and get me to stop yawning when you’ve found some glasses that can capture things I’m doing when I’m out.
