Unfortunately, I doubt the future of the phone. Let’s see.

This product in my opinion only exists because people can’t restrain themselves. The smartphone isn’t the problem if you’re on it too much. It’s your habits.

Can’t you just debloat your iPhone by jailbreaking it and using jailbreaks to remove the features you do not want?

So if you want to, I don’t know, do business, you need a real phone.

Why not just buy a flip phone? It’s much cheaper and still gives you the same lack of features.

I have two of these. One for my daughter so she wouldn’t be absorbed with social media at a young age. The $299 price tag is just plain stupid. The battery life isn’t as good as I expected. The Bluetooth doesn’t work as well and sometimes needs finagling.
BUT……
Since I’ve used it I’ve read more books, been more social, been more in the moment, less distracted and have had a clearer mind.
The sad thing is, I felt like I was missing out. I realized that a LOT of people use FB messenger, Snapchat etc instead of texting. Other than that it’s a good thing. The price has GOT to come down and there could be improvements on battery and bands it supports. I found an in between. On my long weeks at work I use this. On my off days I swap the sim to my iPhone mini.

This would be good for kids so they can’t keep getting bullied from social media.

I could see these being used in a futuristic rehab for social media addicts, otherwise this price is ridiculous the first iPhone was this price and the battery, laughably bad considering the phone barely does anything. Sub $100 and a weeks worth of battery and were on to something that people might actually buy.

This device is a good idea, but probably for people that didn’t grow up with the internet. I love the idea because I don’t go nuts like this lady if I’m not connected. I can’t live without map apps, though.

I had this phone for a week and then I switched back to the iPhone 13. Texting is almost impossible and calling really sucked .

Unnecessarily long commercial for an overpriced brick. If you want a simple phone, buy a flip for less than half the cost 🙄

$299 is really pricey for a phone that does barely nothing. You can get a much better cheap smartphone for around the same price range

$300 for taking off all the features of a $399 iPhone CRAZY. Just get a $30 flip phone.

$300 is too much for this phone. It has zero visual appeal. Needs several revisions to get any amount of consumer demand.

I like that such a product exists in the market and thanks for reviewing it. Pros: eInk display that is legible in the sun and easy on the eyes, lack of “apps” and social media, etc. But I think it needs to be better – more battery life, add a ebook reader, make it more elegant looking and improve the text interface responsiveness. Then you have a winner.

Why spend so much money on a phone with less features? In your own article you point to other phones at very similar price points with all the features people have come to expect. Devices like this make barely any sense, have a little self control. Just more E-waste to dump in the landfills.

If the price is $99 I’d jump to it. The $299 price tag is similar to low-end Android phones or refurbished iPhones. So that’s a bummer for me.

I don’t like the website storage feature! It’s seems more and more tech companies pushing for data sharing, data storage and the cloud! I don’t like or use any of these features! I don’t like big tech coming up with different ways to invade my privacy!

Such a silly gimmick and 70 for a light phone plan is hilarious given I pay 25 a month unlimited everything 5 5g on my S22 ultra. I want even more technology than the S22 ultra offers. I wish I could zoom into the future.

Sometimes we need a break. Apple and other phone companies should make some sort of button so we can just have simple things.. I think most androids have this. But I think it only comes up when its low on battery? Idk.. I have a iPhone lol. We have the screen time feature but I rather just quickly shut off everything and only get basic texts and calls lol. That would be nice to do & have.
