There is something so funny about being strangled during the robot uprising by a giant ring-light.

Someone on that robotics team might be a Pathfinder fan from Apex Legends. Now I just want Pathfinder’s animations to be updated to have his limbs rotate like Atlas’ limbs. /watch?v=kBpc2EaKBcA

They messed up the production model, these companies are idiots, they should of learned how to mass produce the research model

Harsh, but, yeah, a research model would’ve been cool.
I think they’re going for enterprise models primarily because many companies with sizable pockets are betting on ai & automation. Therefore, they’re more likely to buy these robots in bulk.

[1:42] I really appreciate that they were very clear about how the robot was being controlled (typically autonomous, teleoperated with simple commands today).
So many companies are vague and intentionally misleading about how their humanoid robots are being controlled in demos, so it’s nice to see clarity here.

For those thinking, my job is safe because robots can’t do it yet. True, but all the unemployed factory workers can and they will start competing for jobs in all the other sectors.

Just add a version number. Call this Atlas 7. Atlas 6 looked better.

Also, I don’t know why they would put motors in the ankles, instead of moving them to the calves like everyone else.

This presentation has reach the point where it is starting to sound like the media in video games about robotic companies. Instead of Hammond Robotics from Apex Legends, we have Hyundai Robotics. The future has reached much faster than I would have thought
