Cnet this phone came out almost 6 months ago. You can’t tell me a big Channel like Cnet couldn’t get this phone at launch. The bias is real.

Huawei is following the same end than LG. Why are they even releasing this phone in Europe, I have no idea. In Barcelona they have a flagship store next to the Apple Store and it’s always empty

    • liu Steven

      January 28, 2022 at 1:19 am

How naive a statement that is? I wonder what makes you think that google and iphones dont collect your data/backdoor entry?

    • itsastckup

      January 28, 2022 at 1:26 am

liu Steven I know both google and apple are collecting all data and providing entry to authorities. Since this P50 doesn’t have google services running on it as stated in the video, perhaps it may be safer

Optimization on it sucks; if it’s anything like it’s Asian counterpart, the battery life tanked after the last update. Sure it increased performance output to put it within range of the A15 Bionic but is it something worth losing 2 hours of SOT over?

If i had the choice of picking an android phone, it would definitely be a huawei flagship, even with the lack of 5G which i don’t care about, and the Google services which already have alternatives that work properly, it still is a very premium phone and huawei deserves the top spot.

What does 5g has to do with the restrictions? Is it a US owned technology? If I am in Asia why do I have to care about the United States ?

    • CINEMA my world తెలుగు

      January 29, 2022 at 3:43 am

US companies exclusively makes some crucial 5G components and Huawei is not allowed to use those components. Huawei is trying to solve these issues by replacing US technology but it may take some time.

In the phone ecosystem there are many players, in the O’s ecosystem there are two players. Which is sad. I think guys with huge chunks of money should start looking at this as something to set their eyes on. 2 giant is suppliers over a huge phone ecosystem 🙄
Had Nokia & Samsung & windows phone kept their heads high and resisted failure we wouldn’t be sitting with this American Google problem.

  51. simphiwe lehlohonolo

    January 29, 2022 at 5:48 am

All this banning is a way of bringing Chinese technology and progress to being world’s number one giant economy to its needs and to never overtake US technology just like they did with space race with Russia
