Art and creativity is so meticulously, and it’s a crafting process. If you want the result to be good it takes time and real effort and lots of it.

Aardman was such a huge part of my childhood. Love Wallace and Grommet (that theme will forever live in my mind), I now love chicken pot pie because of Chicken Run (even though it was depicted as a horrific death factory in the film… maybe there’s something wrong with me 😆) and Flushed Away is truly underrated. So glad they’re still out here making stop motion despite all the hurdles they’ve faced over the years.

Robin Robin is a beautiful piece of art. I wonder if it’s harder to animate using felt than to use more solid puppets like they do in Laika movies. Everything in Robin Robin looked so soft and cozy. It gave the movie a “warm” feeling to it. Like a fuzzy pair of knitted mittens on a cold Christmas caroling.

This is absolutely amazing. I’ve always been so fascinated by stop motion since I was a kid because one day a claymation educator visited my school and allowed us to make our own super short claymation vids. There are so many layers to stop motion movies these days, it’s really just awe-inspiring.

I’m sorry but I don’t like these kind of stop motion animations, too much blue/green screen, cgi, copy and paste w/e is added. Like with the Laika’s Missing Link. It makes it feel like a 3d animated film which leaves me to wonder why they couldn’t have done it digitally in the first place.

They said that they didn’t want any CG in thier film but I am sorry when you shoot on a blue/green screen or take multiply plate shots and composite them together to create the final shot.. guess what that is CG.
Here’s a Google definition of CG.
“Computer graphics deals with generating images with the aid of computers. Today, computer graphics is a core technology in digital photography, film, video games, cell phone and computer displays, and many specialized applications. Wikipedia”
So sorry, but you got a ton of CG in your film.
