Cnet, pay for my tickets from SF to Vegas, and I will do a much better job at describing the sound for you. The only descriptor she used was ‘bass’ 🙂

It’s dope but you can have at home and no need a luxury car, at home you will enjoy it more watching a movie or music right at home and it really ain’t mind blowing.

Don’t be atmos is an upgraded version of the past which was 5.1 ,7.1 , ect…. But like stereo, those channels were discrete recorded and played back independent and separate from each other. Just like stereo is just not to speakers. It’s actually recorded again separately in their independent channel.

High-end movies that are Dolby Atmos are again recorded independently.

The music she’s listening to this person passed away before atmos became a thing.

When Freddy Mercury was alive, I think the only multiple channel he recorded was just basic stereo.

I think Dolby is using The term atmos to loosely.

I’m assuming it’s more of a DSP simulated surround sound.

Unless of course they resampled the song with multiple channels, but if that’s the case you would need the media itself to be playing back or broadcast in those multiple channels.

Yes, that’s why I always say why people need to go to cinema; but I know there are poor people don’t have sound system at home or cars, but then why they still need to spend money for movie tickets, why not just save those money and buy Tesla stocks now maybe?!

I don’t want to be mean but this is the worst review I’ve ever watched on YouTube. We can’t even hear what you’re hearing and the descriptions couldn’t be more vague. I just wasted 5 minutes watching plus another minute writing this.

Is that a good thing to have Dolby Atmos in a car? I mean the driver needs to focus on the road doesn’t he?

    • RR

      January 7, 2023 at 4:25 am

@Christopher Byrd I get that they’re trying to add to this whole “luxury experience”. And that’s fine when you’re just sitting in it. But occasionally you might need to drive in it.

@A P it’s not just the loudness. Loudness can sometimes help you stay awake.
Dolby Atmos doesn’t help with driving does it?

    January 7, 2023 at 6:02 am

my question is do the songs need to be remastered for dolby atmos or is the equalizer adjusting these songs on its own? I know most movies have their audio tailored for atmos so Im wondering if the same will be done for your music. seems like an impossible task unless AI is involved or something. I love Dolby Atmos though. Its so nice to have when watching movies.

    • bigpancho28

      January 7, 2023 at 7:19 am

There will probably be an upmixer for most music at first but Tidal and Apple already started rolling out Dolby Atmos mastered tracks

  34. BobPagani

    January 7, 2023 at 6:45 am

So since we can’t hear what she’s hearing, what’s the point of this video? We have no way to judge the quality of the Atmos system.

Although it must be great and I’m sure if you own a car like that you have a driver but as you stated that this technology will be coming to other cars as well ~ My concern is what about hearing Ambulances/Fire engines/Police cars etc. ~ There is a danger from being so isolated from the world outside ~ Not sure how safe I would be being so isolated from the world outside ~ Whats do You think ~

With 5G, and fully electric self-driving cars on the horizon, I’ve been saying for some time now: cars will become moving family gaming and media boxes to keep you entertained as you are delivered from A to B safely. And this service will be rentable. The kids wont whine, “are we their yet?” ever again. In fact, they wont want to get out of the car! It has comfy seats, air conditioning, a giant communal (wind)screen, and each seat with its own unique screen too, top of the range speakers/headphones, ambient lighting, and the transport speed is steady and smooth. But be careful with those snacks team … the only problem that will persist with long haul journeys is when you need the toilet!
