Yeah I love the fold 7, don’t care for the s pen based on owning the fold 6, however, I did love it with my s24 ultra

  2. @RyadHammany

    July 21, 2025 at 3:52 pm

Hello, thank you and bravo for this test video. I currently have an S25 ultra that I really like because it is top in photos and video but also because it has the Spen.
I didn’t buy the Fold 6 because of its too small screen and I was buying the Z fold 7 but the absence of the SPEN and the camera makes me hesitate

I think they should have at least given people the option to use an S-Pen considering the price. The phone is great looking and looks like it works pretty well as both a normal phone and foldable. That tag, though😭

Great review. Way too expensive for me.

If you just use the cover screen…then buy a normal phone and save a mortgage payment

Mine is coming tomorrow. TBH I’m still not totally bought with the z fold 7. It needs to be really good or it’s going back and I’m going for one of the new Chinese folds. I had the oppo find n 5 fold on loan and it was absolutely fantastic.

    • @Francis_Cruz

      July 21, 2025 at 6:11 pm

If you’re having double thoughts its never a good sign… When i purchase something I don’t act by impulse , i need to be 100% sure of my purchase decision. I was going to buy the z fold 7 ( I confess ) but my main motifs were design wise…When i see the product as a whole that’s when I realized it didn’t make sense for me.. Design isn’t everything … It’s not a perfect product still and for the price it costs … It should excel in everything but there are still compromises.

    • @Francis_Cruz

      July 21, 2025 at 6:13 pm

And yes you have way fewer compromises with the chineses foldables. If the Oppo N5 was available it was a no brainer for me…

      July 21, 2025 at 6:17 pm

@@Francis_Cruzthat’s right. I’m.alteafy having doubts before its even arrived. Im not that confident I’ll keep it. That’s not a good sign, as you say. However I might be pleasantly surprised. I’ll know by this time tomorrow.

Hahaha no Spen not serious I hope….a big no sale here😢

  10. @uspnightfire115

    July 21, 2025 at 5:41 pm

These foldable desperately need better telephoto lenses. I have a Pixel 9 Pro Fold and I really miss how good the telephoto lens was on my iPhone Pro Max. But overall now that I’ve gone to a foldable, I’ll never go back

  11. @Synplex

    July 21, 2025 at 6:29 pm

@3:28 nope sorry! The review was fantastic until I heard this.
If this was your daily driver phone even if you barely watched or used any content on it, I doubt it will last you over a day. I myself have the phone in my possession and maybe the battery needs to settle but it’s not even going to last me a full day and I’m no power user that uses it to play games. It’s just my daily driver.

  12. @hikalox

    July 21, 2025 at 6:35 pm

This device is very expensive 😮

  13. @jkwon85

    July 21, 2025 at 6:57 pm

Pre ordered it on day 1 of launch and can’t wait. Coming from the z flip 5, was sick and tired of the weak camera quality and battery life. Finally made the decision to save up and get the 1TB fold7, this will hopefully last me a loong time, knock on wood. The minor issues like hole punch camera and no Spen support are not that much of a deal breaker to me,but this was the most I’ve ever paid for a phone ever in my life, although if you trade in a decent newer phone you’re basically getting this phone for the price of like a iPhone pro max or S25ULTRA anyway so to me it’s pretty worth it. Thanks for the great videos!! 🫡👌🙏

  14. @otxoafilms

    July 21, 2025 at 7:22 pm

These comments are funny… It would be nice to have a S Pen and bigger battery but they gave us a thinner phone with a, better chip and way better specs than the z fold 1… That phone was 2000 and most of you bought it… I’d rather buy This phone now than that z fold 1 for the same price… Sometimes you can make sacrifices and I use almost every ultra Samsung phone but im going to switch for the first time to a fold… Checks most of what I want for a phone… Haters can keep hating

The S pen is the dealbreaker. Phone that cost 2K should have zero downgrades and they’ve already hinted they might bring it back next year? So there was no reason for them to get rid of it this year.

The V5 is 4.1 and 8.8mm only if you buy it in white AND you remove both screen protectors. Not one screen protector. Both.

In other words, the device you purchase will not be 4.1mm and 8.8mm unless you take that measurement without both screen protectors.

Waiting for mine to arrive Friday. But currently using the S24 ultra, I’m second guessing my purchase. Just due to not being able to use an S-pen and the zooming in capabilities on the camera isn’t the same. But still looking forward to my first foldable

  42. @jordanbrooke5393

Very disappointed in it. It is too thin and nearly impossible to open it. The hinge is too stiff.

  43. @robfuzz

    July 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm

Samsung’s S-Notes app features drawing tools so why remove the pen digitizer? I don’t know what one looks but they couldn’t make a thinner one? The pen adds utility. That’s what always made Samsung stand out.

I pre-ordered this. I almost NEVER used the S Pen so it’s not something I’ll miss from previous Folds. I also hated the camera on last year’s model and I’m so excited to finally get a great camera on the Fold 7. The thinness of the phone with a fairly good battery really has sold the deal for me.

  46. @icymayne

The camera punch hole was a deal breaker. You have a bigger screen and you have that dark spot on the screen.

My 1TB S22 Ultra is starting to have battery issues; I had thought about just changing over to the 1TB S25 Ultra, but the Z Fold 7 has that _wonderfully big_ screen. That’s something that my older eyes is definitely drawn to. No I don’t like that the phone loses the S-pen capability, particularly given the potential usability with an 8″ diagonal screen as I did occasionally use and rely upon the pen with my S22. $2400 plus after tax does kind of hurt however.

That price point for the 1TB version makes the Fold 7 seem painfully overpriced especially given its compromises–particularly for me with the battery–compared to the much cheaper (though still pricy) 1TB S25 Ultra. Honorable that Samsung got serious and thinned down the panel thicknesses, but not having a more powerful battery as a result for such a large screen is simply counterintuitive. Seems an obvious opportunity missed by Samsung for not adopting graphene battery tech in this new phone.

While having the best camera isn’t on my must-have list, my take is that for myself the S25 Ultra is going to continue to be the superior and preferred deal despite that mouth-watering, big ol’ screen on the Fold 7.

  55. @RaineH71

It is fascinating to see how AI was supposed to totally transform the world in 6 months, and 3 years later, AI is still more of a gimmick…

Today AI still can’t take meeting/calls notes without significant effort.. Save any time on scheduling meetings, nor automatically answering emails without supervision.. Nor can it accurately and automatically order you Uber, nor find that best deal on the internet… The AI that was supposed to be significantly better than hiring a human assistant at best can barely edit some photos or answer a very basic question…

Some of yall are such idiots. Any person that gives the Fold 7 any type of positive review is either paid by Samsung or bias. That’s an idiot take. I will be picking my Fold 7 up soon from Best Buy and I traded in my 6 to get 1200 off. Not everyone cared about the s pen or a trash quality UDC. Now you have the 200 megapixel camera and you complain that it wobbles on table like who really uses their phone like that all the time. The Chinese phones are AMAZING….just not available in the US. I personally don’t want to import anything at full price with no trade in values, good luck if anything happens to one of those Chinese phones with warranty and having to send them back across seas, the software is no where near as good as Sasmungs, AND they may not work on all bands (my carrier has issues with that). Oh! And before yall start shouting silicone battery…This battery, (Fold 7) after 2,000 charging cycles, still retains 80 percent of its capacity, just like the battery on the Fold 6. That drops down to almost 1,600 charging cycles for the aforementioned Oppo Find N5 and its 5,600 mAh silicon battery, and that’s under best case scenarios. So yeah….they are fantastic! Just not im competition here in the US. Get a life😂

    July 24, 2025 at 5:30 am

  72. @ianlaughlin85

    July 24, 2025 at 4:38 pm

While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 introduces some notable refinements, I’m questioning whether these changes truly enhance the user experience in meaningful ways. From my perspective, the Fold 6 still holds advantages—particularly with its S-Pen compatibility, which the Fold 7 has unfortunately dropped. That omission alone limits functionality for users who rely on stylus input for productivity or creative tasks.

You mentioned Samsung’s impressive progress in just one generation. But aside from the thinner profile and a few design tweaks, are these changes ones that users will genuinely appreciate? I upgraded from the Fold 4 to the Fold 6 specifically for the larger front screen and hoped for an integrated S-Pen slot. Instead, Samsung moved further away from that feature.

Additionally, I preferred the under-display camera on the internal screen. The punch-hole design on the Fold 7 feels intrusive and detracts from the immersive experience. While a 0.03mm reduction in thickness may be a technical achievement, it seems to come at the cost of practical features and a higher price tag.

After owning three generations of Fold devices, I’m beginning to wonder if the Fold 6 might be my last—unless Samsung reconsiders some of these decisions and refocuses on user-centric innovation.
