Outer screen is too small.
Inside screen is too big. I can’t text with neither one. For me its just useless. I pretty much can do everything on my note, I really don’t need that phone for its couple of extra useless features.

I received my Fold 3 on Thursday evening and I immediately forgot about the Note 9 I’ve been using for the past 2.5 years. After all of the preorder discounts that Samsung doled out combined with 3rd party cash back I just couldn’t say no to it.

Shyt i wouldn’t mind getting either or both are magnificent 2 me i love Samsung products/especially there phones i had a Samsung galaxy s10 e and it was fabulous I can’t wait to get me one of these but I don’t see my self getting one anytime soon due to my current financial situation but let’s see only time will tell God is good 🙌☝🙏😅🙂

Can samsung make a FE version of fold, by removing front screen and provide a small screen for notifications from flip?
I love this concept of folding tablet. It’s a great thing to have. There are so many instances I felt I needed to have larger screen and this thing solves exactly that problem. However 1800$ + tax is too much. It needs to come to say 1000 or 1100 and way to o that is removing front screen and add a small notification screen in its place instead. Samsung please do this. FE edition for fold will make a lot of sense.

I Love Samsung, but they underestimated the Z Fold 3 sales. A Hurricane might delay my delivery but there are people who’s Z Fold 3 is on backorder for September 8th and even September 17th. I Wonder what I got to do to get on the YouTuber list because all of them got their Z Fold 3 Immediately and I’m not even talking about the review units that were sent to them prior to the unpacked event. The Z Fold 4 needs to have a larger cover screen with S Pen Capabilities as well. I watch a lot of Apps so the under display cameras is just to move out my way as I Experience the Best Entertainment Beast on the Market.

I’m not sure how much budget samsung blew on the UDC but I would have preferred a hole punch or no camera at all if it meant they could have budgeted more battery or better cameras.

I got mine on the 082621 .. testing it out. Currently I have the S21 Elite which have awesome cameras. I have ordered the S pen for the Fold so I will make a final decision on the Fold once I try it with the S pen. I like it so far, still working on the various functions. I find it a bit clumsy to open but I think that will get better as I grow use to handling the phone. I give a 9 out 10 as of this time

I’ve had mine for several days now. I find opening it to be a bit clumsy too, maybe Samsung will improve in the next version. However, that’s about my only complaint. The battery life isn’t as good as the Note 20+ that I traded in, but it’s more than adequate for my use. It’s also heavier & bulkier, but that’s not an issue with me either. So far, it’s a winner!

Sure it’s heavier than other 2021 phones, but is it heavier than a HTC Touch Pro 2? The Touch Pro 2 might of been heavy, but it’s much more durable than most phones sold today.

Few years ago when the phones got wider people complain about the lack of one hand operation, now that the fold is thinner, people complain about the size. What about the benefit of using one hand operation typing when close and 2 hand operation when is open?🤷

I don’t think the weight matters… You’re getting a hybrid phone… Just make it as big as it needs to. If they keep shrinking it, it’ll be unworkable. I think they need all three screens to be about the same size…
Why even bicker about the weight… The front screen is awkward because they try to slim it down. They need to forget that. Put more cameras on it and make it as big as it needs

Yeah. This form factor is here to stay. Samsung will always be the trailblazer and be more experimental just like the original note. Where as apple will take the wait and see approach. Apple will let Samsung carve out/create a market and then swoop in and take share off the back of Samsung’s efforts. The note was the big phone Apple said nobody wanted. Then Samsung proved them wrong and now they have the pro max. Same will happen here. No doubt!!

I have the Z-Fold 3 with the S-Pen. It is great! I carry the S-Pen sin my pocket because I don’t like the flap on the case. I have a small bubble on the screen protector on the front cover (when it is closed). I don’t understand why they thought the gorilla glass victus needs a screen protector. But the bubble is so small I haven’t pulled off the screen protector yet. The apps are great. One example I love reading and have been carrying a Kindle Paperwhite with me. The kindle app on the Z-Fold 3 is great with a bigger screen size so I don’t need to carry the Paperwhite with me.

I pre-order the z fold 3, but canceled it because it’s a technology that isn’t ready yet. From what I’ve heard I pretty much sum it up to be still a prototype tech that needs time.

I agreed with you. this phone is still heavy. You can’t hold it for too long to talk. To me, I can’t think it is better than Galaxy note range. I still miss my note range.

not being able to slot the pen into the phone is a very big downside as you are already holding a mega brick.
I rather samsung discontinue the fold and bring the note series up another or make it the only lineup.
Note series is the best samsung has ever design for now ~

Coming from a Note 9, I am completely happy with the Fold 3 and the S pen.
The cameras do not have to be awesome, just great or quite good, which on the Fold 3 they are. S pen functionality is good enough, but I miss the BT functionality. Fully charged lasts me at least from breakfast to dinner, without having to cut habits. It’s not great, but more than good enough. Besides, who still walks outside without a fully charged ready to use powerbank, if just for emergencies, these days, regardless what phone he has? The inner screen is stunning, the cover screen is great. Would have loved s-pen support for the cover screen as well, but not if it makes the phone more expensive.
The only two things I have to get used to is not having a 3.5mm port anymore and no expandable SD storage.
BT headphones/in-ears, in my experience, need charging more often than the phone itself. Separate Buds type earpieces are not practical for me and the prices are stupid, just for basically some in-ear speakers.
With certain data and applications, I find it preferable and more secure to have it on a dedicated SD card only. And only when needed to plug it into a phone or laptop. Now I need to adapt to not having that option anymore.
The Fold 3 is already in my top 5 of favourite phones I ever owned (since the early 1990s). The others are the HTC Wizard, the original Note, the Note3 and the Note9.

I think Note users don’t watch reviews or we don’t care what noobs think about tech we’ve been using for over a decade. I think fold3 is not Note series but more tablet experience.. If the efficient battery is developed, Fold 4 may have home for s pen inside.. I heard new efficient technologies of the battery has been developed this year but I am not sure it will be provided for Fold 4.. The foldable phones might getting slimmer and lighter in the near future because of the efficient battery..

The Z fold 3 is a refined z fold 2 with spen support and rain resistant. Like anyone will use it in the rain to begin with, also the UDC is horrid and battery brutal! I stuck with my fold 2 and sent the fold 3 I purchased back.
I prefer the much better inner display punch hole camera, Samsung pay nfc support that’s been removed and the much better battery life.

So I would like a Galaxy Z . However I wish the S pen was Built-in to the phone like it is on Note series. I already preordered my phone, but now I am thinking about canceling my order, and going with the Galaxy . I would have thought this phone would be the flagship phone for Samsung. After seeing 2 videos (this being the 2nd one) I’m not convinced that I made a great purchase.

I have the ZF2. I’ll wait until Samsung comes put with more substantial upgrades and an S Pen that goes into the phone, like the Note Series. If you’re coming from a ZF1, the upgrade is worth it.
You forgot to mention or talk about DEX mode, or using a wireless keyboard and mouse. You can connect to a larger monitor too.

Yes, im getting the z fold 3 with the pen and case! Im going to embrase new technology for once and get the phone at its newest point instead of waiting 2 years till its almost discontinued. And im even going against my better judgement and trading in my note 10+!
I feel waterproof phones lull me into a false sense of safety. Fell asleep at the beach while listening two my waterproff phone and as i listed the phone fell slid slowly off my belly into the surf just as a violent tide came in! By the time i tried to get it it was drug out to sea! Second time it happened at a marinna i was very careful as i clipped the phone two my side but while helping dock a boat i bumped into the phone on my hip and it litterally leaped off my side into the 12 ft depth. Tried to dive for it which was dangerous and touched it on the bottom but undertow could have killed me so i came back up to the surface! Infact i tried up to 3 more times but couldnt get it. I realise how blessed i was later cause another individual drowned weeks after this happened!
So each time i lost photos, work, and music that i just couldnt recover again. This time im using this phone backing it up daily and moving photos and important stuff to keyphobs at every turn! So it dosnt really matter how many gigs thjs thing has. Just having this thing be water resistent puts my mind at ease but ill probably get the other smaller z flip for when im going out on a night on the town!

Because of the Ugly Crease in the center of the fully opened screen and the fact the opened inside screen is sooooo fragile that phone is not for me .I will wait on the Samsung Note 22 Ultra .

I got my z fold 3, coming from the 2… I’m sending it back. Battery life is garbage, camera is garbage just like on the 2, and it has ghost clicks or whatever it’s called and I hit one thing but opens another. The z fold 2 feels much more solid and battery life is amazing compared to the 3. Highly don’t recommend. I may switch to a s21 ultra just because the camera is killing me. It’s horrid. I’ve had the z fold 2 for almost a year.

As a gamer I get good battery life on the fold 2 but I also turn 120hz off because I’ve always wanted more battery then the 120 screen. My fold 3 is coming in Thursday and I’m mostly like got 60hz on both screens.

Iphones don’t cut the Noth for 2 reasons. 1 their customers will still buy the phone in records numbers AND once they remove it they look like every other phone. They won’t remove it till they figure out how to keep that rareness.

I love my Z Fold 3. Though there are, as many have already said, many issues with app’s and aspect ratios. But so far not too big a deal. Just being patient with some developers to update. Still waiting on my free gift stylus from Samsung and my case from Amazon.

I’ve just returned mine. I’m a note user, the fold is an awkward device with zero peripheral availability. I returned mine due to there being no cases, no stylus available to buy. Poor launch.
