I am eagerly anticipating the reveal of the G Fold and the surprise it holds. Samsung, I sincerely hope you will not disappoint us by withholding information.

      It’ll be $3200 instead of $3000! Surprise!

Samsung is good in many ways but is unacceptable that is the same 4400Mah and 25W for 5 years when there are fold phones like vivo and honor ofering More than 6000Mah and fast charging… Sorry Samsung

Im holding my Z6 until the Z8, but im looking forward to the following:
    – battery life on the Fold. Im curious to see if the updated density makes a difference.
    – Exynos CPU on the flip. This is very important for Samsung going forward.
    – durability of both devices but mostly for the flip. I e pect the Fold to be better. Im not sure about the flip.

ZFold7 compared to ZFold6 is going to be 100% better. This is their biggest incremental update ever in a Z series. Much wider inner and outer screen. Much much sleeker than ever which would make ZFold7 feel like a normal brick phone. 200mp sensor giving the Z series the Ultra level camera. Much reduction in crease. What else you would want in a year upgrade. ZFold7 is basically going to be the closest being an Ultra ZFold ever

      July 7, 2025 at 7:28 pm

@@Abhishekcrik It will be better, but larger screens, better camera lenses and a slimmer profile are changes with benefits we can anticipate. I’m looking at the unknown. The intangibles.

The SE’s battery was worse because of the bigger screen. This is a 4400mah battery with a higher density. I’m curious to see if that actually results in longer battery life and slightly faster charging speeds as it should. This is Samsung’s approach going forward. We won’t see a si/c battery for 2 years, IMO.

The Exynos is know to throttle due to heat. Heat is one of the main causes of damage on foldables. So, I’m curious to see how the Exynos performs. This is major step for Samsung. Not only for mobiles, but for their foundry business.

@@efechief2659 i agree with you. A 4400mah battery capacity for larger screens could be a very much downside. But if Samsung manages to optimise their OneUi8 software well with that battery capacity, then it should and would be better than previous generation. As for Exynos, Samsung is providing Snapdragon 8 Elite with Fold7. So why worry abt Exynos

Im just going to be honest and say that folding phones are a total gimmick.. we have smart glasses coming that will make every display obsolete in couple years. When you have a handsfree resizable virtual display that weighs less than 100g, you’ll understand what I mean.

  7. @Dylan_evrything

    July 7, 2025 at 11:38 am

there will actually be only 3 phones at unpacked. Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and Fold 7.

  12. @nickthaskater

3:10 getting rid of the UDC is a huge miss. It was one of the major differentiating factors for the Z Fold that made it great. Having a clean, uninterrupted inner display while still having video from the UDC that was more than sufficient for a video call (the only thing you’re using that camera for), was one of the reasons I bought the Z Fold.

This continued push for “thinness” (while having an increasingly larger camera hump) is asinine. Make the cover screen ultra-thin and build out the back body of the device with more battery, an integrated S Pen, and flush cameras.

No one has solved Foldable prices in the US. OnePlus, Samsung, and Pixel foldables all cost roughly the same.

    • @Carbonatedballsack

      July 7, 2025 at 5:56 pm

You can’t solve prices when you constantly have to innovate. They already lowered the prices of the flip. Now that they’ve finally caught up, we might see manufacturing costs go down
