Similar cases in the U.K. (eg LIBOR rigging) the longest sentence was 11 years out after 5.5 years. The US system seems to hand down unusually lengthy sentences compared to the rest of the Western world.

And how about all the superstars that helped to market FTX to the masses, and got paid huge money while doing so? Do they have to pay back the money? These stars and their managers should also have to face some consequences, right?

No, I would say the deciding factor was SBFs total public condemnation. That’s what drives the justice system now.

In Greta’s case, she got away with being bashed as if she were a mentally ill girl who was taken advantage of by adult activists. In the case of a boy who is abused by a woman who is unable to support himself both mentally and financially, the excessive expectations and sacrifices he makes in order to relieve the poverty of his large family, just like in the movie “Hotel Mumbai,” are terrifying.

The implications of SEC law suits across the entire crypto, along with ‘claw backs’ is massive and turn off for any retail investor. Binance up next as the industry slowly unravels. Everyone seems to forget that a BTC ETF may not even be commercially viable if retail investors bulk and enjoy good share market returns. SFB up next testifying aganit CZ for a sentence reduction? Highly probable!

Let’s face it, the reason the jury came to a decision so fast is because Sam Bankam looks like a crossbreed between Big Bird and Larry David.

Bankman Fried played his role superbly and garnered as much notoriety as possible. Now, as time, and a complicate media, convert that notoriety into political wampum, Bankman Fried will leave prison, on a Trump presidential pardon, supercharged for politics.

I have been on juries and feel the verdict came so quickly was because the jurors wanted to go home as it was after 7 PM. No way 12 people fully dicussed 7 counts. Still think he was quilty. Nevertheless, think there is a good chance appeal will be successful, not because of the jury but because of some of the judge’s rulings.
