The production of new batteries does not have a 100% success rate. The failed batteries need to be recycled even though they are new. If battery production increases 50X, the number of new failed batteries will also increase. Vehicles will be in accidents and their batteries will be scrapped. Chevrolet is recalling Bolts and replacing batteries, these need to be recycled. This is just the right thing to do and it is being responsible.

Chevrolet have shitty vehicles also the batteries are in the most reinforced part of the vehicle and also on the bottom they are most likely to survive. A 100 years with electric cars will get us more advanced vehicles and innovation than 100 years with gas vehicles
