The BIGGEST downsides is the life of the product. Batteries wear out after 3 to 4 years or so and so the machine does not run as long. Dyson claim on their V10 that batteries last 10 years which is a complete lie! Also the other downsides is when using a Dyson on Max mode or Boost of their V11 V15, you are just going to wear out the battery quicker as max mode is only designed for quick cleaning tasks. For walk to wall carpeting I still say that plug in mains vacuums are better particularly in the UK, SEBO will last years and years unlike cordless machines!! Nice review & thanks for being honest about having to buy a new battery for your V10. 👌

To be fair Dyson batteries are plugin and not sealed into the vacuum.

The dock for the Dyson cordless vacuums means they will be stay at 100% nearly all the time. Of course, to get the longest lifetime out of a battery it should be kept between 20-80%. By leaving it on the charger all the time, you are probably reducing its lifetime. It probably is possible to get many years out of the battery if you were to store it not on charge. Personally, I periodically charge my Dyson and let it get used till it gets low and then I charge it up again and after 2 years (+more since it was refurbished and I’m not sure if it has a new battery), it still holds its charge well.

Not true do you buy batteries brand new at 80% no they can stay charged for 10 years shelf

@Ricco kimbrough I’m saying storing a rechargeable battery at 100% and keeping it plugged into power all the time probably isn’t good for it

Do not buy Moosoo vacuums, they have terrible customer support. Bought one on amazon and the motor stopped working in less than a year. It was after the amazon return window so I had to go through the manufacturer directly. I was still under warranty but all they did was send me a new filter
, not sure how that helps with a broken motor. When I responded back the email was now inactive and I went to go check on amazon and they’re no longer selling vacuums on amazon (I wonder why). So now I’m stuck with a big paper weight.

These r the best! I use mine to vacuum out my parents’ truck and my GMC all the time. Trust me you’ll save a whole paycheck and a lot of time VS taking it to some place. It’s only a 5 minute job too

So Dyson Dyson Dyson? This review didn’t talk about much other then Dyson & battery life.
Most peeps I know can’t afford any Dysons or a $300 shark. Cordless vacuums use a lot of battery power on carpets vs wood, laminate, etc. flooring. Some are better than others on both surfaces.
Also do they have detachable filters? Because thats important and will also enhance the life of your investment🤟🏻
You must care for the equipment if you want it to last.

There is a link in the description to their full test of all vacuums. I have the Tineco A11 Hero and I am very happy with it. Amazon will periodically offer a deep discount.

You really don’t need more than 20 minutes on high power. These vacuums are so maneuverable that it shortens what would be a 30 minute job to a 10 minute job.

I have a shark cord vacuum and a dyson cordless (the one with the laser). I vacuumed the whole house then again with the cord one over the same spots and lots of pet hair and dirt still came up.

these are not the best cordless vacuums, those are way better than the vacuums featured in this video. these are possibly the best BAGLESS cordless STICK vacuum cleaners, certainly not the best cordless.

I can’t speak for cordless vacuums too much but as a vacuum connoisseur who has owned everything from Kirbys to Dysons to Sharks and has 9,000 sq.ft to clean, for corded vacuums Shark is the best.

It’s only worth the cost if the laser selectively vaporize dusts and associated bugs!

These are good for quick pick up only… But not as powerful as a full size corded vacuum cleaner to really get that deep clean.

try a v11, outsize or v15. The plug in Big Ball units are only 8.7% more suction. You need good suction but also good agitation to help dig deep dirt and grime out

If I went the iPhone route next year I’m either buying the 11 or 11 pro or 12 or 12 pro. Now if I went the android route I’m either buying the S10 or S10+ or S20 or S21 or Note 10 or Note 10+ or Note 20. As next year I’m upgrading from my iPhone se 2020

I like cordless vacuum but i doubt the sustainability of the product. Plus needing to charge 4-6 hours for 20-30 minutes usage? No thanks.

That’s no vacuum….that’s a super soacker with vacuum function
I dont wat extras I want to vacuum and to be able to put the ground vacuum of to do other things…..if the extra stuff isn’t in the thing itself no thx
The Dyson fixed this problem pretty slick bye the way, a wall mount seems pretty logic…..
Still mother nature Greta would ask you this question….3 years for a battery that works 15 minutes….🤨 means you need 30 batteries if you use youre Dyson 90 years 🤨😐
If you wouldn’t be so expensive and you would buy a 35 dollar vacuum you could have used it for 4 or 5 maybe 6 years or 1 year or 6 months if it go broke and then trow away youre complete vacuum…only bye trying we can find out….🤨🤔

I was in the market for a new vacuum and had been considering a cordless and this video helpful with many considerations. I think I’m going to stick with corded vacuums as I am not convinced that just being cordless outweighs the tradeoffs and cost. Thank you, you saved me some money and possible frustration.
