You can complain about change like every point in history when society is forced to consider new technology or embrace opportunities. It’s that simple. I prefer to think of ways I can use it in my processes.

Tesla being autonomous is a falsehood and may be millions in law suits. Chat GPT is most definitely a LLM. The rest of this is so creepy. Perception sure, not cognition. Even if you could claim it was knowledge curation, a step past aggregation, it wouldn’t necessarily be on the level of cognitive understanding and creativity. All these words mean something, try and use them properly.

The idea of creating a more immersive gaming experience is cool, but that was about the only good Idea I took away from this video.

The introductory idea of having a never ending story because AI can just constantly produce more rubbish is especially unsettling. Let a story end in peace, and come up with a new idea.

But new ideas are risky and potentially unprofitable, better to let your kids chat with a mindless AI agent in Fortnite in between Tiktok breaks

Really telling when the YouTube sticks an AI gen’d advertisement in the middle of this and I thought it was one of his examples of AI being good for art

The whole point of storytelling in all its forms is humans sharing human perspectives and ideas with other humans. It is an important form of dialogue we share with each other. Static scripts are actually a good thing when they are conveying specific themes and ideas well. Humans dont always accomplish this task well, but at least there can be sincerity in the attempt because they experience sensory input and have unique emotional and intellectual inner lives that ai simply doesn’t have. AI mimics and parrots and is therefore limited by and dependent on training data that it doesnt truly understand or relate to as you or I might. Be careful wishing for ai generated interaction over the carefully crafted artistry of human storytellers/artists of all types. You insult and impoverish them by replacing their presences entirely with ai. There may be legitimate niche applications for artificial interactivity, but we risk socially/financially impoverishing ourselves and isolating ouselves from our fellow humans by evangelizing ai agents in this way.

Disgusting capitalism at its finest. This guy isn’t going to tell you music publishing companies are leaning into AI to make music to cut out artists completely.
