He is not a good man. He is not. Is he successful? Yes, but that is all he is. He pulls money from tax payers when he receives government money that he doesn’t have to pay back. Does he put anything into the system? He’s just the head of yet a money grubbing corporation.

In America, those who have power and money get away with promoting violence , racism and dangerous crackpot conspiracies to a large and growing extrenist base and are effectively never held to account.

For example, I think he’s trying to stop the banning of a national newspaper article that was accurate, with cited sources and evidence, an article that was later found to be accurate by all other journalists. Banning the free speech of the press is essentially violating two parts of the 1st Amendment.

No one censors our phone conversations so why is it imperative that Twitter conversations be censored? By allowing censorship you are concentrating power into the hands of financial and political elites who will most certainly abuse that authority. If people want to use Twitter to slander someone then the victim can take them to court. If someone wants to use the platform to make threats then let the police confront them. If someone wants to use Twitter to promote an unpopular idea…then suck it up and learn to live with it because other people probably disagree with you on some things too.

Provide a color scale for every tweet that shades itself by political lean as well as by darkness of failed civility, and perhaps believability vs not trusted information. Possibly rotate active score participants through segments of political spectrum so fresh “graders” roll into the “color'” scores on tweets and retweets The color code would become a tag with every tweet and tweeters would grow a reputation, good or bad.

Very intresting interview. I am a bit confused why the host is trying as hard as possible to try to make “Free Speech” look like an untenable ideal that isn’t functionally possible on a platform that was entirely free and uncensored for 10 years before the CV event happened. It’s a good interview, but it feels disrespectful to Elon. This type of condemnation of someone’s idea would never happen to any other billionaire.

Musk really can’t pronounce ‘B’ or ‘P’ as output attack consonants..interesting..is that part of his neuroatypicality?
(Or..is it his alleged ‘alien heritage’…heheh?)..
The ‘dad jokes’ about Ted the bear..also say something about his literal mind association tendencies.
As developmental neuroscientists..can we ask…has he some sort of disconnection between emotional/empathic reading of inter-human cues..and higher level emotionally interpretative, linguistic output processing?

He seems to ‘separately think’ out his emotions and emotional positioning more ‘philosophically’ and self-reference them, before discussing more, literally, rather than experience the moment ‘spontaneously’ in real time? Is this a very ‘right brain’ approach to emotional processing interfacing with integrative language production? It suggests how creatively visuo-spatially ‘project focal’ and yet linearly emotionally separated/removed and compartmental his personal ‘mind experience’ might tend to work? An interesting interview..

34:12. 36:50 I am surprised that Elon has made it through this interview calmly. It almost seems like the host is trying to antagonize him. Almost every question has been a type of backhanded insult, disguised as a clever question. It’s confusing why the host insists on being so negative?

  102. Ben Sandivar

    April 19, 2022 at 12:57 am

There’s a reason words fade away and disappear in thin air as we utter them. We have artificially made it possible to allow words to be trapped in a box and echoed over and over so they can be heard or read as many times as wanted by as many people as interested. Never before in the countless years of human existence did anyone have such power as to record their words and spread them all over the world effortlessly and without censorship. Only the prophets had a tiny taste of what that’s like and it didn’t come without a consequence and without bloodshed. Who should be aloud to hold this power used to be determined by their extraordinary wisdom and skill and yet now the most foolish of fools can have more influence in the world than the wisest sage could have dreamed of not so long ago. Why should there be a public and permanent record of what everyone says and thinks about everything in the first place? All tweets should be deleted automatically after few hours —not because of censorship but for the sake of safety, civil discourse and the future of our civilization. Otherwise we are not so far from becoming the snake that devoured itself. We are treading on thin ice and our freedoms could collapse under their weight. Perverting the nature of speech in and of itself is what damages our freedom to speak about what really matters and is true. And if we can’t all speak freely and openly, there will be devastating consequences, of which we have only seen the start.

As an adult with aspergers and autism i identify so profoundly with elon. Everything he speaks about as far as being bullied and spending countless hours reading and programming and doing things that others might not see as normal behavior was my childhood as well. Also having to learn things myself that others pick up on so easily was a huge setback for me to a degree but also kinda helpful in a sense too because I understand it so much more now. Elon reminds me so much of myself but at the same time hes soo much more intelligent than I am and i admire that because I try to learn as much as possible and work as much as possible but i tire so easily as where elon seems to be a cyborg.

It was a few years back that I finally let go of my, in general, stubborn resistance to all that is trendy. Specifically, in this case, regarding Elon and listened to a conversation between Rogan and Musk.

I will never forget Rogan asking the question “If – with all that you know, all that you imagined, and all that you have accomplished – if there was only one message, one thought, one truth that you could deliver to humanity, what would it be?” Elon gives that eyes slightly to the side and up expression and says “Love, the most important and powerful thing in the world is love. That’s it…” There are only a few geniuses in all of world history that would have given that answer. It is love that leads to the vision of building a better future for all of us and our children. I love and respect this man. We are fortunate that he is here, now. Together with love we can build a better brighter future. Let’s go!

I’m not really happy with the “reporter’s” questioning on the free speech topic, he frames it in such a way as if it’s normal/constitutional for people to be able to silence and censor other’s public voices for non criminal speech. You are one of the people scared of not being able to silence those you disagree with. Free speech means I can share my opinion of you to you, and anyone… and if you don’t like it, you don’t have to listen, but you can’t silence me from telling others and you certainly can’t get out your seat and slap me…without consequences.

Your sneaker soles, your tires, tooth brush, toothbrush tube. Your fridge. Milk jugs, and more. Medical supplies, artificial hearts etc. All made from plastics! We will be living in tee pees soon, without fossil fuels. Get over yourselves!

There is not a single car manufacturer executive owner or individual with a large financial stake in the world of automotive engineering and production they can hold a candle to what Elon has done. I particularly like the part where he lived in the factory so he knows just as much as the guys on the ground. He is going to be a legend of our time. I challenge Ford executive to demonstrate a knowledge base of his product line better than Elon Musk any automotive company they don’t exist. This is the guy you want designing just about anything you have an idea for. And he loves free speech can you imagine if he was running Instagram and Facebook too

elon has good ideas but what happened when the tesla hit 2 officers on side of road and driver had ai auto pilot on. Well the sensors dont react fast enough when car is traveling 60mph and cannot detect objects and apply brakes on the car that fast . Now its a sensor issue and you cant make sensors detect objects moving at that high rate of speed . Real world situations overcome the electronics its that simple, and its been seen many many times.
