Crazy how AI is already good enough to trick our eyes 👀… but the real question is: how long before we can’t tell anymore? I’ve been looking at some insane AI tools lately, and honestly, some of them feel straight out of sci-fi.

I’ve been a photographer since I was 7 years old. I became an army photojournalist for 15 years. Even my trained eyes have trouble distinguishing between real and AI.

To be fair, misinformation has been a problem since information became so easily widespread. Generative AI at least forces people to be more aware of it due to the ease of access plus potential impact.

Great message delivered at the end. We’re at a point in time where we need to always question if what we’re reading or looking at is truth. Just because you want to believe it doesn’t make it factual.

What if generative AI can take all of this into account when generating images? I guess we just have to accept that images can lie the same way people, or the written word can. The only way to tell will be context.
