That moment when you realize that the comments under a video can be even funnier than the video itself๐Ÿญ

What does 2mm really give you, other than less battery?

We can tell girth is an important topic for Bridget Carey. the gestures speak louder than words.

Several people have told me they prefer a 4.7-inch screen to a 6-inch screen. The current iPhone SE, with its 4.7-inch screen, enjoys no real competition in the pocketable phone market.

If Apple Intelligence (a misnomer if ever there was one) and Siri were even remotely intelligent and useful โ€“ it might be worth buying a new phone. Slim however isnโ€™t a substitute for intelligence.

But sadly Apple is so far behind in the AI race right now that we have to look elsewhere. If there were any security concerns they have well and truly taken a backseat. Particularly since Deepseek is free and almost as good as OpenAi o1.

So weโ€™d rather save some money for more important stuff. Our current phones are more than capable right now โ€“ albeit a little โ€˜girthyโ€™ โ€“ now that I think about it.

Theyโ€™re probably following Samsung with their cheap Galaxy phones, so that people who canโ€™t afford the flagship Galaxy phones can brag that they have a galaxy phone. That only brings down the brand because of the inferior specs; they would degrade their own brand for more money.

Older people (like me) like a larger screen. It makes the print easier to read without having to have less information on each screen.

i think the general population right now is at a point where we want to afford to eat and pay bills rather than buying the newest phone. A lot of people right now seem to be keeping their older phones because of this. Iโ€™m sticking with my iPhone 14 until it breaks.

How about more innovation? New features? Not a tiny bump in specs every year just to milk the population

  13. @ONAIRwithDYLAN

Apple hasnโ€™t truly prioritized its users in years. Instead, they focus on over-engineering features that already exist on other phones, often to the point where they become clunky and impractical. It feels like theyโ€™re more interested in checking off innovation points on some internal scoreboardโ€”right next to their ping pong tables and kombucha tapsโ€”than actually improving user experience.

I recently dusted off my old iPhone 5S, and using it felt refreshingly natural. Everything was within reach; I didnโ€™t have to stretch my fingers awkwardly just to perform basic tasks. One-handed use was effortless. Honestly, I even considered ditching my iPhone 15 for the smaller, sleeker designโ€”especially with those square edges that actually let me grip the phone properly.

And donโ€™t get me started on app developers who insist on placing essential buttons at the top of the screen. Itโ€™s just bad UX, plain and simple.
