They need to fire whoever is editing and uploading the footage….if I didn’t know how good the footage was already this would make me think it sucked in quality.

I’m going to stick with the original Mavic – I might get a new one in a years time depending on what around then. Great review 👍

2 Questions:
1. do you know if Mavic Air 2 is compatible with the dji GS Pro (the free Ipad version)?
2. do you know if the US version with ADS-B sensor has slightly higher weight and shorter fly time compared to the EU-version that currently comes without the ADS-B sensor?

Feeling like my mavic 2 zoom is a total scam compared to that. I don’t see a big enough difference between the mavic 2 and air 2 series anymore… Maybe mavic 3 will change the game

shame they do give you the go app 4 as previous mavic air the fly app is used for the mini and VR goggles dont work nor app Litchi, its the best way to fly VR in the bright sun and safer…

Any comments on the noise level? (Is it acceptable compared to original?)

It’s definitely quieter than the Phantoms but you’ll still hear it coming. About the same as the Mavic Pro 2s I think.

They need to upload in 60 fps, this 30/24 fps is brutal to watch

It’s not because it’s 24 fps. It’s because specifically the drone footage is extremely choppy and unwatchable. I really hope this is settings/editing issue.

so much stutter in your footage when your panning or filming sideways, why is that?

It’s nice that the drone folds so that you would be able to take it anywhere

nothing here on low light filming

Low light has improved. It was raining 2 of the 3 nights I had to fly it so I wasn’t able to get a lot. if you check the end of the clip we added of just footage from the drone, you can see a bit. Link is pinned at the top.

Ah, the video shot with it is extremely choppy, just the same as with their Mini. And all that for a whopping $800 bucks. The footage is unwatchable.

As impressive as the features of the new Mavic Air 2 are, I’ve already invested in a DJI CrystalSky 5.5 monitor to use with my original Mavic Air and it’s frustrating that DJI has opted to go with an unnecessarily oversized transmitter rather than stick with the compact form factor currently shared by the original Mavic Air and the Mavic 2 Pro – both of which readily accommodate the CrystalSky 5.5 monitor via small third party brackets. The new base transmitter is not only twice the size it actually needs to be (as demonstrated by the Mavic 2 Pro) but doesn’t appear to accept any monitor other than a smartphone. For me, my money would be better spent on simply buying a Mavic 2 Pro rather than drop another $750 on the DJI Smart Controller (which has no sunshade) while my CrystalSky collects dust

It’s not nearly as bad as the old phantoms but yeah, it’s not quiet.

Video in 4K seems to stutter, not really smooth when doing panoramic shots at all. To me the video processor is very glitchy and hesitant.
