this Spiderman exhibit is very interesting. And I can see how it can save Disney a lot of money. I can imagine them creating a toy version of it. And it reminds me of the days a long time ago when they had a human playing a highwire Tinkerbell who would fly off the top of the Matterhorn ride and off to some other place and disappear. It would happen in the evening and they would have some spotlights on her(or him) to make her more visible to see. Even with this said, I have divested my DIS (Disney shares) by about half or more over the last week. I just can’t see the future of amusement parks (as they were) coming back to pre covid levels. I think VR is going to supersede in-person experiences, like going to Disneyland/world. And it doesn’t look like management agrees and is too vested in trying to hang on to what Disney used to be instead of where technology is taking or allowing humans to experience. There is a lot of opportunity for Disney to more aggressively jumping into VR.. perhaps investing in developing VR technology. Creating VR worlds. And with their branding, they probably could even sell subscriptions. They could combine this with their Movie channel Disney+ and make movie content (including stereographic – 3D content) viewable and accessible in VR. They could allow family and friends to congregate in VR. Allow people to dress up in their favorite Disney characters in avatar form. They could even create virtual daycares or kid environments that are facilitated by human adults (for a fee) for parents who want to give their kids some safe and uplifting educational opportunities using the Disney brand. But, alas, I don’t think Disney management is ready or willing or able to take Disney there.

So when are they going to change his name to Spider-Person?
There are a lot of characters with “boy” “girl” “man” and “woman” in their name. What is the plan for those? lol
