Coinbase support is a bunch of teenagers who sit around playing on lap top computers. It’s no wonder some employee was compromised. Systems should be able to audit. They would find the person if they were watching porn at work.

The “hackers” will get caught, only if FBI is involved. Just monitor the largest coinbase holder accounts then when call track them.
They used social engineering and insiders to get this data. I doubt they are genius hackers, just basic criminals/s.

No combination of cold wallets, hot wallet and exchange to dilute risk. Only cold.wallet is also risky because these can also be hacked/socially engineered.

Some peeps talking about cold wallets, but wouldn’t they have to be moved to exchange if they ever want to sell? And what if there’s an instance you want to sell immediately, wouldn’t it take time to move from wallet to exchange? Owning crypto just seems like a loss-loss scenario 💀

    • @benmaxinm

      May 17, 2025 at 10:26 am

Selling at exchange exposes you for a fraction of time. You wont also pop up with high balance on any internal list because you already sold, so on exchange your balance is zero or very low. Very low balance = not interesting person to attack.

I would say having one, global currency without having to deal with the fluctuations & complications of over 100 different currencies around the world, is a benefit to consider.
For people who work in high-income countries to be able transfer value to their families in lower-income countries, without having to pay exorbitant fee, is another benefit to consider.
Being able to self-custody your savings without having to keep it in a bank where it’s no longer “your money” because it gets lent out and is therefore exposed to risk, is another benefit to consider.
There are people who live in countries where their savings are constantly eroded because of hyper inflation, and who are open to their savings being seized by corrupt governments, who benefit from the censorship-resistant, self custody attributes of Bitcoin. If people can’t save their money, they end up living day to day, and they can’t really plan for the future.
Being harder than gold and faster to settle than fiat, is another benefit to consider.

Being able to save the compensation we get in return for our hard work (by storing it in Bitcoin), in something that has a fixed supply, and which goes up in value over the long term, without having to either store our compensation either in something that loses it’s purchasing power over time (fiat/cash), or without having to find complicated ways to invest that compensation so that it either grows or at least maintains its value, is another factor to consider.

This short video explained by an economist may help.

They don’t want you to see this book. And after reading it, I understand why. Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine shows you truths that are too real, too raw, too effective to be shared publicly. This isn’t motivation—it’s information you’re not supposed to have.

I thought I had it figured out. Hustle, grind, invest… but something still felt off. I was missing something. Then I read Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine, and it exposed the cracks in everything I believed. I’m not exaggerating when I say it flipped my entire view of wealth upside down.

You ever feel like something’s off with how the world works? Like… we’re missing something crucial? That’s what I felt for years. Then I read Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine and it confirmed everything I suspected—and then some. It’s not for everyone. But it was exactly what I needed.

I didn’t grow up with wealth. I grew up with stress, with bills, with “save every penny” mentality that never actually worked. This book made me angry. Like, genuinely angry. At the system. At school. At the people who told me I was just “bad with money.” I wasn’t. I was just never taught how it actually works. Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine opened my f***ing eyes.

It’s honestly scary how accurate this book is. I read one chapter and felt like someone had reached into my head and exposed every lie I’d ever been sold about money. Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine hit me harder than any course, mentor, or book I’ve ever read.

  41. @Renufashioncollection8

    May 18, 2025 at 4:35 am

Reading this felt illegal. Like I was holding something I wasn’t meant to touch. Hidden Codex of Wealth by Dorian Caine doesn’t try to inspire you—it rips the mask off the game and shows you how deep the rabbit hole goes. It’s not a book. It’s a weapon.
