Although people in safe countries often forget it, the first priority of every society is survival, because that is the first priority of every human being, at least in evolutionary terms. As a result, defence equipment tends to attract funding, although the extent of this varies from one society to another. Ultimately those who do not prepare pay the price anyway but in different terms.

@Robert Manly why tf?? We are all humans, why fight ourselves? I do not agree with the ideea of fighting over social differences!

March 7, 2021 at 9:42 am
@Dedu Tedy history shows that not all leaders are as wise as you. Nor are they interested in philosophy. Look at the sort of people who end up leading nations in recent history. Hitler, Stalin Mao, Kim, etc. These people are prepared to kill many people to achieve their goals, which are broadly concerned with power and access to resources. They are not fighting over social differences. Some people are just bad people. Unfortunately countries led by more civilised thoughtful people are usually easy prey for such people because they usually are not prepared to defend themselves. It is easy to divert limited resources to more human concerns because the need for defence cannot be easily predicted and by the time they need is evident it is too late to prepare given the long leadtimes involved in preparing a country’s defences.

Man this is incredible! these planes will make up for the f-35a lack of dog fighting abilities. Imagine one f-35A commanding a squadron of loyal wingmans! The next challenge is to be able to manufacture thousands of these at a low cost ie building aa efficient machine that make the loyal wingman

Typical millennial, raises the pitch of his voice at the end of each sentence, as if he is asking a question. Millennials are afraid to make a simple declarative statement. Like all millennials, they have been subliminally taught not to assert themselves, lest they be seen as somehow politically incorrect. And they are not even conscious of it. They are automatically self-censoring themselves. Thus they cannot make a simple declarative statement—God forbid!—they must only ask a question.

It is not Southern Australia. The state is called South Australia, like South Dakota or South Carolina.
Sam Neale

Adi Vemireddy

@Sam Neale But he meant South Australia. Because the plane was built and flown in the state of South Australia.

So much enthusiasm but so little information given out. Much is left unsaid in this video. I assume the purpose of this drone is a test bed for autonomous fighter aircraft tech that will eventually replace human pilots. If Boeing can perfect the AI controlling combat maneuvers, these drones may come to dominate as they can withstand much greater G forces than a human pilot can endure. Eventually the wingmen, if any, will be humans not drones.

The most exciting thing coming in the world of drones will be auto-policing drones. By exciting, of course I mean exciting for the over inflated budgets of city police around the US. These drones will ticket speeders, jaywalkers and illegal parking around NYC. Of course, there will be an additional parking sign to watch for. One person will be exempt of any illegal activity in NY. That of course is the blabbergasting, cringeworthy, Emmy award liar Andrew Cuomo!

What’s “the most exciting thing I see in the world of drones”! I’d like to see the Milkman Delivery Drone! Having to go out just to buy a carton of milk is such a pain. If it could also deliver choccy digestives at the same time, then it’s win win in my book…
