    Own the SteamDeck, have this purchased as well. Now I’m just waiting for another Steam Machine like the old Alienware Alpha with updated products.

      What’s the point of having a bunch of these if you can only play one at a time anyways lol

      @Jonathan Pontel
      Different uses all around, I use the Steam Deck/Switch OLED when traveling. I’m in an airport at least 4 times a month so I usually just sit on those instead of working. Sometimes I’m traveling for 24 hours at a time.
      I honestly just like the look of this and interested in it and I loved the Alienware Alpha for my apartment overseas. I want another one since I don’t have a full setup computer setup over there which is why I want them to make a new one haha.

    I ordered the Ally. I tried the steam deck a few months ago and was not impressed by the experience at all. The fan was extremely loud (as loud as my desktop gaming rig at full throttle), and the Steam OS distro on the unit came corrupted right out of the box. Had to reflash the BIOS and reinstall the OS to get it functional. Although tinkering is fun, for users new to the PC gaming space the steam deck can be tricky. I believe that with a few updates to Windows 11 and perhaps an upgraded BIOS for the Ally, this device will hit a home run with PC gamers looking for a more premium experience over the steam deck.

    It feels like smart content is coming to an end around here, and next-generation terminals and next-generation services that use them will be awaited.

    In fact, even now, there are multiple forms of entertainment that can be obtained without using a smartphone, but there are many events that do not make full use of these.

    The Ally’s d-pad looks cheap. Like a bottle cap. Failed on that one.

    Rog ally vs aokzoe a1 pro which has better spec and performance?

    There is no need to get max spec Steam Deck. The baseline Steam Deck is all you need. A 512 SD card goes for 40 to 50 dollars on Amazon. I was also able to install windows 11 on my steam deck to play Game Pass games. Using windows 11 isn’t the most intuitive way to play games on a handheld. I needed Steam Deck Tools installed to get the controls to function like an Xbox controller in Game Pass games, you also can adjust refresh rate and TDP with Steam Deck tools but I find that windows runs too poorly when CPU is not at 15 watts.

    The max spec Asus ROG Ally is nearly double the price of baseline steam Deck but not double the performance.

    Eventually Nintendo will release successor to switch. Since it will have access to far faster ARM based chips than its original 2017 release, Switch 2 could be much faster than these x86 handhelds and have long battery life.

    Did you have any problems with the face buttons? Linus tech tips said they were sticking and now I’m nervous about pre-ordering.

    Relatively inexpensive….??? How out of touch are you that $700 is considered inexpensive? Especially when you can pick up a Switch Lite for $200 and get amazing experiences there

    You appreciate that you can install AAA gaming companies clients on the Ally much easier than on the Steam Deck… that’s not a point for the Ally, that’s just bad gaming companies not supporting Linux or having to bloatware a normal pc with their clients. You should call on them being bad and using clients instead of faulting the Steam Deck for using Linux.

    Missing touchpads and missing instant suspend/resume make it kind of a dealbreaker for handheld gaming
