Because of such issues I have enormous respect for Samsung, they take the blame and actually apologize for such things. Surely it affects their brand value but at the end of the day they wants their customer to feel that they are listening to them. In simple words they are pro consumer company, unlike Apple.

This is the reason why I will never buy another Apple product. My last apple iPhone was a 7. I have Jump over to Samsung. It would have to be something really amazing to go back to Apple but for now I’ll stick with Android.

Article portrays Apple as not listening or responding, yet they improved the keyboard year on year. Even this outlet reported the improvements in the keyboard with each MBP release.

It’s Apple. Consumers refuse to hold them accountable. Apple has been given no reason to change its behavior. Until the consumer wakes up it won’t change. In the US, at least, it seems Apple can do no wrong.

Apple has discredited itself with all the promises around a better keyboard, all the fluff and outright lying about throttling and their stubborn attitude around slim design that cannot accomodate 6-core, let alone 8-core cpu’s.
Let them replace their designs, their inexcusable attitude towards the Mac and their lamentary billionaire Board and we’ll see if they can regain price/performance

Ive had my MacBook since 2017, and I have had a few keys stick, but generally, hitting the key hard a few times fixes them. There is definitley an issue though. Through the small cracks of the keybaord, I can see a metric ton of dust particles building up. These particles are near impossible to clean out, as the gaps between the keys are so tight. Using compressed air has no effect on this particles, because the air just bounces off the keycaps, with very little going in. The main problem with the keycaps is that dust particles can easily enter, but have no way of escaping.

So Apple adds their new Macbook Pro they just announced to the keyboard repair program before we can get them in stores. Never seen a company do that lmao. that’s like saying ‘hey we release new macbook pro’s with butterfly keys version 3. But we believe they wil also fail so we add them to the repair program before they are for sale’

After almost 3 years Apple giving their large number customers the finger and expected them to pay for their repairs due to horribly made hardware, Apple finally will service the Macbooks at no charge. In addition to that, it was the customers’ fault that they failed up to this point.

How many people kept their 2016 MacBooks they spend thousands of dollars are now happy to get it fixed at no cost in 2019?

  45. Dennis Tienesen

    May 23, 2019 at 3:07 pm

all apple products suck. lowest quality possible, hence the very limited warranty. they don’t believe in their own products lmao. also their distribution when it comes to repairs is awful. for example a simple broken power connector could require the whole motherboard to be removed and shipped overseas to be soldered and then sent back to be built in the laptop again. all setup like that so they can charge the customer even more…

I got my 2017 macbook pro repaired for free but it was still under warranty. also, had my 2015 Macbook Pro screen repaired becuase the film on the screen was coming off lucky for me Apple had a recall for it. while at Apple i was informed NOT to use anything other than water to clean my screens. But I will have to say that Microsoft has come a long way with the Surface line of computers and in my opinion are surpassing Apple. Just my thoughts.

  61. Masterr Laster

It always astounds me the level of BS Apple users are willing to put up with. Any other company this shit would not fly. A company couldn’t ignore a problem for years and still be doing alright but since it’s Apple their customers give them a pass. Not a I don’t know but a pass like well I know “but” I still really like it. what????. There defense seems to be well….. Apple has great customer care and will fix the problem.

The problem with argument is ok let me give an analogy here. Say you buy a new car. Car runs fine at first ends up breaking down within warranty due to defective engine (it’s poorly designed overheats). But hey the company fixes it so it’s all good right??? Not really no because they just put another defective engine in there that will break down the road. Only this time your warranty is up so opps.

Same thing with the keyboard until they fix the design it’s not really a fix they are just buying time til the warranty runs out.
Now would people buy another defective car from the same manufacturer of course not that’s stupid. But with apple the answer seems to be yes always yes I just don’t get it. I don’t blame Apple though it’s their customers own fault.

  62. Louis-Philippe Duval

    May 24, 2019 at 4:13 am

My product is low key shit but i will still sell it to you for over 50% more than what’s it’s actually worth and not admit to anything.

  63. Martin Su

    May 24, 2019 at 5:14 am

About that “small percentage” claim, the new Apple keyboard replacement page still says Apple has determined that a small percentage of the keyboard…. So Apple is still not fully acknowledging that it’s a serious issue.
