I really like the 5g support. I’ve had some issues with cellular on my ultra 2 but I just think it’s probably too expensive to upgrade with only having it 2 years?

Superb review, and it is a great pleasure to watch and listen to Vanessa.
I have upgraded from Ultra 1 to Ultra 3. After 3 years of daily wearing it and daily topping up the battery, Ultra 1’s battery health was at 82%. Even so, after 23 hours of wearing the watch continuously, with all features and options on (including cellular connectivity active, but most of the time on Bluetooth), the charge remaining was still around 45%.
I don’t know how Vanessa managed to nick the watch face so badly; after 3 years of continuous wearing, my Ultra 1 was virtually flawless. Would, perhaps, the 3D-printed case be less durable than the cast one?

Thank you! 😊 Interesting about the ding… I do wonder the same thing about whether or not its less durable. The watch was on a stand and fell directly on rock while we were taking video of it for this review, so I suspect that on your wrist its better protected and most people wont have this issue.

I just got my Ultra 3. Charged it for the first time, and 48 hrs later, I’m still at 60% battery. Biiiiig difference from my series 6, which would be at 60% in about 8 hours.

60% after two days ? Sure you’re using it ? Doing what ? If your thing is having a black brick on your wrist doing nothing except telling time, you may consider a good old fashioned watch.

60% after two days? 😂 absolute nonsense, my UW3 can just about stretch to 2 days with average usage including workouts with around 2% left if I’m lucky. You must barely use it.

I had the Ultra 1 and sometimes use Garmin but coming from the Ultra 1 where I got about 2 days battery to getting almost 4 now I really like it. I put it on the charger when I shower every night and it stays topped up pretty much all week. Also your sleep score makes me jealous, I wish I slept that well lol. Great video!

YES it is and I am doing the trade in option. If it goes smooth I will be happy but everything depends on if the upgrade process goes to plan otherwise I may change my mind. I know the hypertension is still work in progress but anything that could possibly help me in my 50+ years of age to discover an issue earlier is worth that price but I also like gadgets soooo.

trying it only mainly cuz I had a non-Ultra last previously and the battery didn’t last thru a single day after owning it a few years.
still getting used to the bulk of the Ultra but the smart play might just be to run down a regular iWatch and then upgrade for new battery and new features. Will still cost less than the Ultra in the long run and no brick on your wrist.

Why don’t you reviewers ever do videos like this for other brands? Yet, the moment Apple releases a new device, you feel the need to test it to the extreme dropping it, scratching it, pushing it to its limits. This isn’t thorough reviewing it’s clear bias. Other brands deserve the same level of scrutiny and coverage. Tech reviews should be fair, not Apple fan service.
