As a designer, I’d go with a random Chinese tablet, because the tool doesn’t define the designer

As a Designer, your going to trade the Pencil for a Keyboard to prompt with.

Apple will create their own word to describe AI without saying the word AI. Like Machine Learning, but they don’t own that either. So something like Logic Pro, Siri Pro, Serenity, Geni, some marketing gimmick name for the same stuff everyone else is using. But with that apple touch that locks you out of doing what you really want to do with it.

Machine Learning is a subset of AI, it’s not a made up word by Apple.

What’s the point of doing art on iPad + Pencil now, with Midjourney, Stable Diff and Dall-E?
For the price of an iPad “Pro” you can get 5 years subscription to those, rendering the “Pro” to become more like a “Hobby”

!The value of the US dollar is declining due to inflation, but it is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. I’m worried that rising inflation will cause my $420,000 in retirement funds to lose value. What else could we do with our money?

As a beginner, it’s essential for you to have a professional to keep you accountable. I’m guided

I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to a decent 💲950k in the space of 3 months. I’m especially grateful to Bruce Murdock, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

It’s so true that Apple has been the notable exception among large tech companies in its seemingly muted embrace of AI. As Dana Wollman notes, however, certain forms of AI/machine learning are of course already baked into Apple products and offerings. Nevertheless, Apple’s intentions for AI haven’t been communicated with the same zeal as companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Facebook. To some extent, this is understandable because (unlike Amazon, Google and Microsoft) Apple doesn’t have a division focused on providing cloud services to businesses and consumers. Much of the recent excitement surrounding AI has been spurred by advances in generative AI, which large tech companies make available to customers via their cloud services. Considering Apple is arguably best known for its devices, it’ll be interesting to see its take on AI and how this informs its product line as well as its services.

    • @pmoney8701

      May 7, 2024 at 7:53 pm

Im pretty sure Apple utilizes the cloud for their cloud sync features. And your comment implies that Apple has to provide more cloud features in order to present AI to their users, which is incorrect.

Still stale software and it’s so behind the curve with GenAI. What’s the point for anyone to upgrade if not ? I would hold off and figure out first what apple is cooking for software if any at all
