The word “intelligence” is quite a stretch just like the use of the number 16 in the name of an iPhone which is clearly a 15s.

Not even 1/1000 as smart as Chat GPT

Maybe it’s a reflection of the clients Apple is catering to?

This is why I am big fan of Bridget Carey since 2011. She cooked Apple Intelligence.

I totall agree with your assessment for Apple intelligence. Well, perhaps it could become better when you buy iPhone 17 🤣

This is why Bridget has become my favorite tech reviewer. She pulls no punches.

I’m sick of all this AI, all tech companies just talking about AI, Neural Engine, blablabla etc. This AI thing is more useful for the people with disabilities, not when your normal and can do basic tasks. 😂

I’ve been an Apple fanboy since 1986, but I have to say this video is on the money… It really bothers me that instead of AI being an assistant it’s touted as replacing actual intelligence

apple’s heart was never into AI. in these ads apple is ACTUALLY making fun of AI. which is kind of ok isn’t it?

😂 It hilarious how she managed to focus on the downside of every feature. It’s true that Apple has been slow in the implementation, but for those that are running already, they are super fine! I don’t understand her disappointment.
I have been using them since when they first became available. E-mail summaries works great, Image playground works great, Safari summarization works great (i just have a Mac that is compatible with all that). Plus, those rewriting tools are a tendency, so if she’s against that, she’s against the whole Silicon Valley, because everyone has that.
Shoutout to the great amount of time given to the ads! They’re really fun and show all the functionalities!

I mean I see the point but you can also turn all of this off with one button so….

Haha 😂 Carey just killing “Apple’s Intelligence“ in promoting its AI 😅
Apple not spending enough money to truly develop the actual AI. Despite having lots n lots of money!!

You go Bridget! So much burn and snark in one video. The way the AI is implemented so far, it’s really not that useful, and I would not rush out to buy a new iPhone 16 for this “feature”

I also like Joanna Stern’s video for telling it like it is. Always straight to the point

Remove intelligence from that title and you’re on to something there.

Good summary: I ditched Apple products altogether. I used the iPhone 4 until the iPhone 15 Pro Max (I bought every generation), but not anymore because Apple thinks we are all stupid. What a lousy Apple commercial. I switched to Google Pixel, and I am not turning back; I am enjoying the Google ecosystem now.

It’s definitely a battery drain the only exciting features are the new interface when interacting with siri, the new type to ask and hopefully genmoji other than that pretty much useless

You’re not wrong. But, anyone using AI tools to enhance communication should always know that reading and owning the final draft is on you. This is why I am ok with the proofreading tool. When reading my own writing, I am apt to to miss my own mistakes when rereading it. The AI tool is not. But, I must make the final read. To simply send it out after Apple’s review is simply not responsible and it is not why my clients pay me.
