I think it’s more appropriate for you to change the title because after watching the video, it’s not exactly what I expected which I mean is for good reasons. Just my 2 cents, cheers 😀

Guys, its a satire. No legitimate tech reviewer would make a video like this and be serious about it.

I think the video is not informative. You’re listing reasons that most people would find supportive of buying an Android tablet. To say they stink is to ignore the change. You can’t honestly believe everyone should just have an iPad if they are looking for a tablet? With Power and Price 80% of people can’t afford one out of the store like I was, and others don’t need that much power in what they do daily.

Honestly the worst review on the plannet
People that liked it probably didn’t watch the video till the end
This video had so many flaws, and let me just leave a few comments and questions for you
      1. Just because google stopped making tablets doesn’t mean other companies can’t make tablets. So if google stops making pixels other companies should stop making phones?
      2. We know apple has a good track record for updates, but would you really use an ipad from 6 years ago when there are budget tablet options with better specs available?
      3. You talked about optimizations. Because of samsung – a company that has one of the strongest holds in the android device community – some developers are actually creating tablet optimised apps on the play store
      4. So where exactly does CNET actually get people like you from? I’m curious?

I prefer Samsung Tab over ipad
It can do what no other Tablet or Ipad can do.
It’s true that Ipad have the most powerful processor but it’s missing lots of things.

The iPad is costly. Very nice I agree, but you pay for it and keep on paying because there are fewer free apps for iOS. No simple music player apps for iPad either. Gotta use Apple’s ecosystem just to play music, movies and video. Not true with Android. I’ve got A Fire HD10… The screen is dark, so watching my favorite scifi action shows isn’t all that great. But this tablet refusing to pair with my new Tozo earbuds is a deal breaker. I’d much rather pay extra for a Samsung tablet with a bright screen and good computing power than pay even more for an iPad. The Galaxy Note works with the earbuds, so A Galaxy Tab will likely work also. Fire OS is just too quirky for me. The stupid sound it makes when I power it on (thru the speakers, even if headphones are plugged in), plugging in a charger powers the whole tablet on, and all those stupid ads, from the time you power it on until it’s turned off again. All the content “reminders” on the (unconfigurable) home pages. I’ve had enough with Fire OS.

The real problem with tablets in general is that *they’re like TVs* you buy one, you keep it for *4 ~ 6 years* and never bat an eye whenever they announce a new one… Which means, tablets won’t sell as hot as phones where you can show them off to your surroundings and benefit from their updated features… What could they add to tablets to entice people to upgrade anyways?

A tablet does its main purpose for the majority of users… Play videos, browse the web…

There are some brilliant Android and Chrome OS tablets out there if you spend at least $300+ I am surprised a so-called tech review channel would title a video ” Android tablets stink: Here’s why” , it’s a personal choice some people prefer Android to iOS .

One big thing in favor of Android tablets: GPS. Not available on Chromebooks or Amazon Fire tabs, only available on very expensive cellular versions of iPads. If you want to use a tablet for navigation (Google Maps or Navionics for marine navigation) then an Android tablet is the obvious choice. Navigating on even a big phone is an exercise in futility compared to using a decent sized Android tablet.

    August 24, 2020 at 11:32 pm

CNet stinks! Thought you guys would be impartial. Android tablets cannot be compared to Apple iPad as they are designed for different markets. Plus iPad cost upwards of 5 or 6 times as much. Least Android tablets can run many more apps than iOS. Android has by far the best games and they are often best played on Android tablets.

Early first looks on the Samsung Tab S7+ are good with a great screen and included pen. So do you think that Samsung should switch to Windows instead of Android? During the unpacked event they talked a lot about the collaboration with Microsoft. With the lines blurring between tablets and laptops I think switching to Windows would be a smart move for Samsung. What do you think?

ditching my 2020 ipad pro for the s7+ when its available. Ipad does everything ok but cant do enough. Plus the screen on the ipad pro is 5 years behind even the worst oled screen.
30% of my daily use ipad apps are not optimized for tablets so that too is a false narrative. Nothing this clown said was true.

In my perspective, Ipads are for people who are invested into Graphic Artist and Photo and Video edits. Galaxy Tabs are for people who are more into Business, Brokers and Accountants, ect. I have an Ipad and Tab S6 and I use them both. I hate carrying a 7 pound monster spec laptop, my Tab s6 is a lot more mobile and with the help of Dex its more easy to multi task, its not as powerful as a laptop but it can do the job. And for video presentation I used my Ipad, with final cut pro app its more easier to construct a video presentation. Although I use the Tab S6 more often than the Ipad Pro.
