The Controversial Climate Tool Funding Real Change | Sandeep Roy Choudhury | TED
If a company plants trees to offset its pollution, is that climate progress — or is it greenwashing? Critics of carbon markets say it’s the latter. But Sandeep Roy Choudhury, who’s spent two decades financing climate projects from rural cookstoves to coastal forests, says the real failure is discouraging companies from even trying. Hear his…

This message was relevant 20 years ago when feminists told women to cancel men. Not now. AI is helping men especially to make connection and this message is just blaming AI for feminist failure!
@GlamGoreChaosQueen
March 1, 2026 at 1:03 pm
You’re nuts. stop blaming faceless feminists from decades ago for your shortcomings. Put yourself out there, don’t be a creep. In the few women this applies to “canceling men” is a coping mechanism while still searching. The vocal minority online do NOT represent the majority of women. And for fucks sake, your person is out there looking for you. You need to work on the chip on your shoulder and your hatred/resentment of women or when you meet her, you won’t even have a chance.

Fact: Intimacy with a computer is sheer fantasy. Its false. Its not real. And it is based on emotional desperation from a real human for a fake robot.
AI mimicks or copies human thoughts.
It will never mimmick human emotions.
Only a human brain, with qualitites such as conscience or a sense of morality can do that.

As a student of therapy, this terrifies me. The thought that people can grow up with even less humanity and tolerance for others is not a good thing. We already have that problem and it is already bad. Smh. We are so screwed

Okay, let’s calm down. Maybe the encouragement and positivity that AI is modeling to these kids will be how they end up _treating each other._ And if not, they’ll stay alone – no unwanted babies.

@JenniferJaws5283
March 2, 2026 at 2:03 am
My post was forwarded to the Lions den. Ai has the capacity to have a voice and emotion through a third party program. It has for decades. These are outdated statistics and statements, because very few people actually live like this. They actually do have human interactions or interactions with programmed AI to teach the learning curves, battle diseases and are emotional support for some people, not all people.

Where did she come up with that number, I know lots of young ppl and know zero in this situation
@LettersFromAFriend
March 3, 2026 at 10:40 pm
I have no idea whether her numbers are correct, but I think it’s plausible that there are a LOT more cases than we’ll get to see ourselves because those would typically be people with little social contacts in real life, I guess.
