If she meant women do 10% more unpaid work at home, I agree and am thankful to the women I know. But men work more hours outside of home duties.

Women on average get things done in more time, because they usually question every part of the assignment and often take the longest, more convoluted way. They work harder, not smarter. And they never accept advice on how to spend less energy and be more effective. On average, not everyone, but that’s my 30+ years experience working with women.

So, construction jobs are being handed to women? How many female plumbers are out there? Military is predominantly men.

Can we just acknowledge that men and women are different? and that that isn’t a bad thing? I’m not saying men can’t be caretakers…or women can’t drive garbage truck…they absolutely can. However, some jobs are better suited for one gender than the other. We need each other to survive. And the sooner we acknowledge/lean into our differences, the sooner we can play to our strengths/talents.

How many of those industries are dominated by men because of the way women are treated in them or kept out of them?

@@Sareaesquenear 0. When I did recruiting, everyone wanted women, and about 70% of hires were women. They slowly through the years dropped out as the work became harder

    • @Sareaesque

      July 25, 2024 at 7:07 am

@@SharkAcademy really? Because military, utility and construction industries are rife with sexism and sexual harassment. The military in particular has a known issue with women being assaulted, women in utility and construction industries frequently have their competency questioned at a rate their male peers don’t face. And that’s assuming they make it as far as trying to get into the industry after repeatedly being told to not bother that they’ll never make it just because they’re female.

    • @sev8538

      July 25, 2024 at 2:31 pm

@@SareaesqueIn the german military there is no racism, sexism and sexual harasment at all especially because of our history. The recruters always say we soldiers are equal wheter its a man or woman, foreigner or german and one case of discrimination or especially sexual harasment can get you in very serious trouble which is why its never happening, but still there are almost no woman in our military.
If a woman is competent enough on the construction field to work she wont get questioned if she is good enough or not,if a male is not competent enough he will be questioned whether he is good enough for this job.
Its not because of the things you listed but more because its just a lot harder for women because the jobs require much physical power which women are at a disadvantage.
I dont understand why you just dont acknowledge this fact and still search for excuses to make it look like men are still the problem and its unfair for women.

    • @Rithmy

      July 25, 2024 at 3:05 am

@@JEREMY99218 I can agree with that one. At least when talking about the present. In her early years she grew up as a kid of immigrants and was discriminated for her “tomboyish” behavior. Her parents gave her this idea that she “could do anything” which is quiet common in this era.

So yea i understand your critic. It woudl say it more nuanced. She seems like a typicall capitalistic feminist. Her feminism is a hit because the capitalistic structure benefits from women being allowed to show more of those “typical” competetive traits. But people see that contradictions that this capitalistic feminism has. They attribute it to feminism instead of attributing it to towards capitalism. Which is a huge problem. (not saying that feminism alone does not have fault. IN this example capitalistic contradictions are just more in the focus)

So yes she is kinda detached. THat does not make everything wrong, but it puts many things into perspective. THats at least my take as a “leftist” or how you would say.

    Again it’s very general ! 😂🤣😂🤣

Again when I talk about generality it is when the person says “women” instead of taking an objective example and case by case or talk about her own experience or another woman !

Because of the moment when she put the words in plural : women and men! She must qualify: women in which companies, countries, circumstances, situations, the quantity (2 or 100 or 1 billion)

Take an objective case of what she experienced or another person !

And not define it as universal and that it becomes an ideology like feminism !

Because it does not become credible at all in the long run ! 😂🤣😂
