I’m not interested in such drugs.

Sadly the more you take the less that effect becomes. But, honestly when I tried the whole mental health aspect a few years ago was remarkable. The first few times it really does adjust you. It allows you to see in between the masks. The mask you show the world the mask that covers you soul.

The people trying to ban psychedelic therapy are the same ones screaming about personal liberty and states rights.
Let people do what they want to THEIR OWN BODIES.

My sister did acid and went to “james and the giant peach” in the theater. We thought she was crazy for doing acid, but now we wish she saved some for us. 😂

I attended one of Prof Nutt’s lectures as a master’s student
It was the best lecture I’d attended before and since
He’s truly open-minded and a real scientist: putting data (and patients) ahead of preconceptions and dogma

I have a friend who just started a ketamine therapy for treatment resistant depression and it has been really interesting hearing their experience, they described seeing their whole family live out their lives as ferrets which sounded really sweet

  11. @AlerieHightower

    August 18, 2026 at 5:52 pm

I had my first ketamine experience when I had a full face and neck lift under local anesthesia a few weeks ago. I didn’t have a single bit of pain or anxiety during a pretty long and invasive procedure. I can see how it helps take the edge off of traumatic memories. The only downside was that my memory was fuzzy for a couple of days afterward, and I was only reminded of the extremely inappropriate amount of online shopping I did during those days after the packages started showing up. 🤦‍♀

50 years of antidepressants, therapy and even ECT did nothing for my CPTSD. Of course, we didn’t have a name for it back then…but ketamine and mushrooms allowed my brain to make connections and progress to a point where I no longer need traditional meds. Remain open minded and hopeful y’all. You’ve got this! ❤️🌲

I can also attest that microdosing mushrooms has been the BEST meds ive ever taken.
I have Borderline Personality Disorder, depression. ADHD and an alcoholic. Ive been on SSRIs, antipsychotics, benzos etc SINCE I WAS 14.
Making my own microdoses. 3 days on 2 days off. Has absolutely changed my life and kept it changed for the better.
I cannot sing the praises enough for these magnificent mushrooms. (Plus the cullinary ones are fkn delicious)

  30. @Natashajb

My son has used mushrooms and has done a series of ketamine. He had no lasting results because he refuses to engage with therapy so he goes right back to his depression and pessimistic thinking. I’m hoping sending this to him will make him realize he has to combine therapy with these therapies.

  37. @nataliedickens1289

    August 19, 2026 at 9:39 am

The last time a tripped I felt like I could see myself clearly for the first time and that I saw the truth that I had no soul. When I talked to this guru dude who Shamaned people he told me that psydelics showed us the truth of ourselves and that if I felt I had no soul then I finally saw the truth. He also told me I was previously a reptilian commander who murdered millions of people in an intergalactic battle.

So no, I don’t believe you “see the truth” of yourself. You’re just on drugs man it’s not that deep. Unless someone wants to provide all the reasons why I SHOULD believe I have no soul. In which case it will prove to me that no one has any compassion anymore. Don’t do drugs kids, no one will be kind to you.

  38. @claybrown6154

    August 19, 2026 at 9:57 am

I have not seen any studies on adolescents. With depression and suicidal ideation being so prevalent, do we think studies are coming soon? Is there reason to believe these therapies could be dangerous to the teenage brain?

  39. @brownell.landrum

    August 19, 2026 at 11:30 am

I did bufo DMT legally in Barcelona a couple of years ago. And it was incredibly profound. As a writer I immediately took notes on my experience which also gave me a lot to reflect on because it can be like a dream where you don’t remember what happened unless you write it down. My advice is to make sure that if you do it make sure and I mean really make sure that it’s somewhere that is legal and medically supervised. I hope anyone reading this understands how important this is. Do it legally!

  40. @User-54631

    August 19, 2026 at 11:43 am

My buddy micro dosed me with mushrooms before a tiger army concert. I can see why someone would wanna feel that way all the time. For me….lifting heavy things regularly and training combat sports is more therapeutic to me than drugs.

  41. @DailyDoseOfInternet

    August 19, 2026 at 12:14 pm

I did 3gs and 6gs a few days apart in a legal therapy setting in Colorado.

I think everyone should do at least 3 g at least once in their life.

The 6 g was more beneficial, but way more challenging so I don’t think I would do that ever again.

    • @ozzemie

      August 19, 2026 at 2:36 pm

What a nice surprise to see you here in the comments, Jason!
I’ve never had the chance to do them in a legal therapy setting, unfortunately, but for me a *very* high dose was also very beneficial and extremely challenging.

im all for psychedelic use in treating mental health disorders- having used them myself.. however, i really struggle with saying there’s no evidence of psychosis “occurring in the modern era” and then saying there’s a serious risk for psychosis if you have a “vulnerability” to it.

I mean, anytime someone becomes psychotic for the first time, we could then label them as people who were vulnerable to psychosis. It just seems like a dangerous assumption in favor of psychedelics and a confirmation bias.

Seems like almost everyone knows someone who’s life became unraveled due to either large amounts of marijuana or psychedelics. It can happen to anyone given the wrong circumstances, and these compounds have an incredible power to heal but also harm. And I think it comes down to luck a lot of the time, you never know what you’re going to get out of your trip- its a bit like russian roulette- except the reward can be an incredibly healing and amazing experience.

  43. @BongoX2x2

    August 19, 2026 at 1:23 pm

Psychedelics are a crapshoot. It can be like a slingshot that sends you into a good state, or it can send you into a very bad state. A friend of mine was using shrooms and his first trips were good. Then he had one “bad” trip and tried to nix himself. I have had mostly good trips that have had some benefit but I also had a couple bad trips. Personally, all my trips start with extreme depression(even if I was fine before a dose) then I break through and have the good trip. No two trips are the same and I find they are heavily influenced by the several days prior. One major thing that happens to me is I understand everything is ultimately meaningless and everything bores me now. See the crapshoot?

  47. @Charrbonic

    August 19, 2026 at 4:58 pm

Thank you so much for allowing this video to happen. We need more rationality and less fear surrounding what will inevitably dominate both psychiatry and physiological treatment in the coming decades. Once Trump is out of office and other despots are gone, English-speaking nations and beyond need to be primed to approve psychedelic and dissociative medications to every extent that they can. Without them, I would be mentally and physically crippled far more than I am as of today. I hope that many more people like myself will be given the chance to heal using the power of these wonderful substances in conjunction with whatever therapies suit them best.

As a complex trauma specialist, there’s great evidence for PTSD, but for complex trauma and dissociation, it can actually be very contraindicated and destabilize. It is very very person dependent. Possible, but very nuanced – just like emdr with complex ptsd vs classic ptsd.

Cane we get a wired video for zero sugar or sugar free food. Why sugary foods are more popular than low calorie foods (obviously sugary and sugar free candies taste very different). Also the effects of sugar alternatives (like aspartame) on the body. In other words a video about sugar adiction

TW: This comment talks about severely depressive topics.

I have lived the past 4 years of my life barely wanting to see the next day. Recently, it had been getting a lot worse, with me often harming myself or even attempting a few times. I really couldn’t have been any worse. But then, just two days ago, I tried psychedelics. When I tell you that I feel hopeful for the future and actually see a reason to live now, I am not being hyperbolic. Those mushrooms genuinely saved my life.

    • @shot040

      August 25, 2026 at 11:11 am

even with the TW that was messed up. u cant really post stuff like that online.

    • @FloofyFern

      August 25, 2026 at 11:32 am

@shot040did you bother to read it at all? Yes, it’s depressive at first, but did you even bother to process the information or were you too upset by the fact that I was depressed and wanted to die that you didn’t even realize I’d mentioned how it saved my life.

      Please, grow some neurons.

  85. @SquirrelHunterXP

A lot of people don’t realize that certain mushroom compounds can significantly reduce chronic protective muscle guarding.
When the sympathetic nervous system stays overactive, the body locks soft tissues into a defensive state (myofascial hypertonicity and neuromuscular guarding). This is one reason some patients are extremely difficult to adjust — the segments simply won’t yield because the surrounding musculature is holding everything rigid.
Psilocin (the active metabolite) acts as a 5-HT2A receptor agonist. This appears to temporarily down-regulate that sympathetic-driven guarding, decreasing baseline muscle tone and allowing greater joint play. Once the protective spasm drops, previously “stuck” segments become much more responsive to adjustment or mobilization.
This isn’t about becoming more flexible in a traditional sense — it’s about removing the neurological brake that was preventing normal movement and adjustment in the first place. Worth looking into for cases of chronic resistance to chiropractic care.
