China already managed to obtain 5nm production
from 5nm to 2 nm your do not create new technology opportunities. It’s a hoax
That’s why Huang went to China in fear to lose this market. And he did in fact. Chinese government demand local ai firms to use local ai chips
US has no cards and the only option is to lift all barriers

Since 2018, we have been constantly doing a Tonya Harding to China. Yet, today, it feels like we are more like Nancy Kerrigan. What’s happening?

What do you mean? We had to bail out farmers of $28 bil tax $ in 2019 due to Trump tariffs on China which forced them to buy soybeans from Brazil instead. China was blind sided then and that’s when they decide to make more deals with other countries to ween off U.S as much as they can. Now in 2025, they have more deals with other countries as ever! U.S farmers are still suffering with no soybeans bought.

I really question tariffs can bring back manufacturing to America. At best, we will end up with America manufacturing for Americans, while the Chinese manufacturing for the rest of the world. Americans will tariff themselves into a self-enclosed island in the world where Americans pay 3 to 4 times for the same goods as others do everywhere outside America. Isn’t that how the Soviets found themselves losing the game in 1980s?
