You could get music online 30 years ago too. They used to be called websites.

@shinybaldy Point is this is not new. SoundCloud started in 2008 and before that was MySpace, and websites with audio were hot in the 90s too.

“Fiat fame” is the best way to describe billie eilish. Not known for being good, just known for being known. Just like all bad fashion, she will be in style then fade away. She’s the skibiti toilet of music.

She’s super talented tho lowkey (especially working with her brother, cuz he’s hella talented too). But her sound isn’t for everyone. I’m not even some fanboy either, as I don’t even really listen to her music. But the first song I ever heard of hers was that trippy one called “Bury A Friend”. I was scrolling thru Netflix and it was playing in a trailer, n I was like yo wtf is this song 😮
When I found the song, I saw it was put out on the internet by a 16 year old girl and her older brother, and I couldn’t help but be impressed.
Lastly, that James Bond song they did with Hans Zimmer was hella good, and deserved that Oscar.

@taxman9985 lowkey, hella sus, rizz, bussin, legit fr fr…yeah, your opinion on “talent” is next to worthless.

Congrats on all the success 👏
I’m not a fanboy, but I heard Bury A Friend hella early on the internet and was blown away. It’s been cool to see u and your brother blow up since, and that James Bond song with Hans Zimmer was solid af ✌️
