Honestly the Pyramids are an arcetectual marvel and to say it couldn’t have been built by people just because they didn’t heve the same tools we have now is a diservice and a complete mocery of human inginuity. Just cause this was 1000s of years ago doesn’t mean these people werwe any less intelligent and capable of understanding math and science on a fundemental enough level to build things like the Pyramids. That is to say history is awesome and we can thank ancient civilaations for a lot of things we today take for granted.

Yes you are right that they didn’t understand less maths and science on a fundamental level, key word fundamental. They definitely understand wayy wayyy less maths and science than today, but to build a pyramid it would have been enough. It’s not like building a pyramid is a massive feat of engineering, it’s just stacking stones on top of each other. I consider building a modern skyscraper or going to space and the moon in rockets as way more impressive feats and achievements of humanity, personally.

Why is Egypt so dead set against allowing digging under the pyramids? We have these LIDAR scans showing columns and empty chambers going hundreds of feet down into the ground underneath, yet no one wants to look? What’s the harm? If there truly is nothing then just put the dirt and sand back, who cares. But flat out refusing to even look smells like a coverup.

The explanation of using wet logs to break each stone I find questionable, to sit and wait for them to expand and break for each of the thousands of stones seems like a bit of a stretch 🤔. The other finding are very interesting though.

So in summary, it is possible to organize people to set-up a block which weighs more or less like a modern SUV/ truck every 2.5 min, 24H a day, 7 days a week in two decades, (if they did not pause ) without error; in perfect mathematical consistency, near perfect north.
If they only worked in day time(6am-6pm), thats gonna be like 2 blocks in every 2.5min😅

Actually the higher the pyramid becomes the LESS likely it is that a spiral ramp was used. Ramps, straight or spiral, are fairly problematic for a number of reasons. A semi internal ramp does have some advantages and evidence – other ramps frankly have very little evidence.
Interestingly one thing for which we do have evidence is the possibility of a series of simple cranes. Of course that is not certain either, but the idea of ramps … has a lot of problems.

The biggest problem with the spiral ramp hypothesis that many archaeologists favor is that it ignores the engineering reality that moving massive stones around the pyramid’s perimeter would be an inherently unstable and hazardous operation. That would have been just as true 3,000 years ago as it is today. A competent construction plan would almost certainly favor a straight internal ramp with pulleys, making the process far safer and more efficient.

I’ve seen them crack Stone before, and your wood thing does pan out. But how do they get ropes down? And then underneath that one00 ton block, that you can barely fit a sheet of paper between, how do you lift that up out of the quarry? So if that rock is like, let’s just say it’s 20 foot long by 10 foot by 10 foot, you have to Lyft it app higher than the 10 foot past it so you can clear the hole you’ve got. What ropes are you using tugbok?Ropes are almost 3 and 4 inches round, and they only do a couple of 100 tons like you’re talking me with tree, bones and stuff.Come on man

If you haven’t seen the pyramids live, what are you waiting for?
I’ve visited the Giza pyramids, Red Pyramid, Black pyramid, Bent pyramid, Djoser pyramid. Also walked through Karnak and Luxor temples.
I was especially blown away at Luxor by seeing the empty mount for the obelisk that is sitting at Place de Concorde in Paris. An obelisk I saw on my first visit to Paris.
Valley of the Kings is a must see, also.

The spiral ramp theory certainly seems probable, but the fact is that there is no evidence for it. There is also no evidence for what I believe is the recently proposed counterweight idea, but I like that one better. Right now we have no idea, but suggesting the spiral ramp is done and dusted is not good science.

One last data point against a straight ramp: what would constitute the “top” of the ramp would constantly be changing and growing, which means they’d have spent as much time rebuilding and/or lengthening the ramp as they would have been building the pyramid itself. And, presumably, that probably would have come up once or twice in the historical record.

If the main pyramid at Giza was built in 20 years as main stream science insist this means that every 4 minutes a block of stone was put in place. But it will take about 24 hours to wet a wood log so that the stone block can be cracked out of the quarry. One of these claims if badly wrong, or likely both..

There is a lot going on in this comments section but I am always amused by the folks proclaiming that the pyramid blocks were cut to this and that amazing precission and placed down to the milimetre, cause it’s like… where are yall getting that? Academics don’t claim that, all footage (for example, at 2:00) shows blocks with rough edges joined by very visible gaps. And if you wanna claim this is the result of erosion, you would then need to proof the blocks looked the way you think they did milennia ago… this entire line of argument is nothing but wishful thinking with no basis in reality.

Pyramids are said to have been built in 27 years. It has 2.3 million blocks. That means they would have needed to place a block every 6 minutes, every day, every hour, every year. Now consider pulling one of those blocks up the ramp every 6 minutes, night and day. Come on. Use your brain.

A lot of misinformation here. A single ramp of any kind or shape is absolute foolishness. The great pyramid was built almost exactly how all the large mostabas of the earlier dynasties and all the other fourth -sixth dynasty pyramids. Using pits with loads descending into them to raise blocks along steep ramps. The pits were first made in the ground them built into multiple layers of masonry as the technique advanced. Using 50 cubit ropes up until sneferu and then switching to 100 cubit ropes and pits that weee 40 cubits deep.

This is why I get mad at the History Channel. Every time some imbecile says people 4000 years ago couldn’t have ever built complex structures like pyramids, and then goes with a fantastic fabrication like aliens or atanteans, it makes my blood boil. Sure, we currently DO have mechanical and technological devices our ancestors would only describe as magic, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have everything they needed, particularly one thing: their brains.
You need to carry a heavy rock but cranes or the wheel or pulleys have not been invented yet? well, you need lots of people, or maybe many medium sized animals or a few large elephants, but, you ABSOLUTELY can move that heavy rock. You need to make a block which matches perfectly a space you need to fill, but have no hard metal tools? well, you need a “harder” stone and enough time, but you can ABSOLUTELY create the perfect block for the space. Saying otherwise is simply dismissing the intelligence and capability of those amazing guys who managed to build such incredible buildings so long ago.

Drop stones to carve channels into stone then a bit of wishful thinking and ta-da, you have quarried multi tons granite megalith. As simple as that. With this exact and efficient proven method every ancient civilization used to pull hundreds of thousands of these blocks. Then once you dropped enough dolerite and cut all of your granite, just pull it with hemp ropes and wooden sledges over hundreds of kilometers across the mountains to Lebanon. Piece of cake

The portcullis system in Khufu’s Pyramid is one of the strongest pieces of evidence that the ancient Egyptians were capable of sophisticated rope-operated mechanisms. It does not necessarily prove the use of pulleys, but it does demonstrate the controlled lifting and lowering of very heavy granite blocks using ropes looped over stationary stone for a 2:1 mechanical advantage.

Basic Physics of moving a 70 ton stone (much less multiple 70 ton stones) up in the top layers, would require massive stone ramps to support the weight, people, etc to move it up and it would have to be at a 30% pitch or less (which would have remnants today). So your Ramp Theory doesnt mesh…. The ramp theory has been effectively disproven.

Halfway through the video and I have two things to say. Firstly, give me enough toothpicks and i can carve any granite statue (in response to the idea of using little bolders and copper with sand to cut and shape the stones and statues). She is presenting the quarry method as if it’s a known process. It’s not – there is no evidence of the process or documentation of the method. It is merely an assumption. Dropping stones?? That doesn’t correlate to the “scoop” shaped chisel marks.
Also, while ramps are very plausible, there is still no evidence.
And likewise on the sledge… still no documentation or evidence – just more conjecture.

I love how some archaeologists, especially egyptologists project absolute certainty about things we are still genuinely uncertain about. It produces the Zahi Hawass personality type: every solution is already in their book, they solved it, and any challenge is treated as a personal affront, where ego and territoriality start driving the conversation more than the evidence. Same thing happened with the america’s clovis-first theory, they were unable to accept it until extreme irrifutable mountains of evidence in their faces.
