Was this video shot on the 17 Pro Max with the 8x zoom? Or was it shot on a different camera that was also zooming on 8x, just to show how far away that would be?

    • @MacXpert74

      September 10, 2025 at 6:14 pm

Where do you get “3.5x” from? From everything I’ve seen it’s a 48 mp sensor with 4x lens, that crops to a 12 mp 8x zoom. With that it’s NOT a downgrade at all. As you’ll have the same 12 mp now at 8x, which previously was 5x. And the jump from the main camera to the 4x zoom is less, which means zooming should now be smoother and have less image degradation compared to the old set-up where you would zoom from 1x-4,9x digitally before switching to the 5x zoom. Now it only has to zoom in to 3,9x which means less quality is lost. Long story to say it is most certainly an upgrade!
