I pre-ordered mines this morning, I currently own the Flagship Optimus Prime with trailer. I think Grimlock is an amazing work of art that Robosen put together. So far I’m not sure what to think about Bumblebee as most of us were spoiled with a transforming Optimus Prime. I believe most people wanted to see a transforming Bumblebee as for the ROTB Optimus Prime they probably get a pass as I believe transforming that would’ve been a nearly impossible undertaking. Robosen is absolutely moving in the right direction with Grimlock

At 15″ tall he won’t scale well for those of us with the original Robosen Optimus (19″ tall). Grimlock and the rest of the dinobots were quite a bit taller than the autobots. So it’s this issue of proper scale and price that is holding me back. For $1500 he should scale correctly, be at least 25″ tall. Currently he’s too short and about 2x overpriced (original robosen optimus was $700).

super cool video and a very cool transformer. i did purchase optimus prime, i did not get optimus primes trailer… grimlock is a tad bit pricey but im going to keep my wallet prepared ????????????????

This thing is AMAZING!!! I really hope this does well. I know when Robosen started to work on this 7 years ago they had no idea the economy would be in the shape it is in today because of bone head decisions by our politicians. I was fortunate enough to get their first transforming Optimus Prime which is still a wonder to behold. Although I did not buy it for this reason, my Optimus is worth more now that when I bought it. Because of the economy and the high cost of components, I got that Optimus for the same price as the newer smaller Optimus. I did not dare dream that something like this would even be possible. The geniuses at Robosen did not only dream it but they put in the hard work to make that dream a reality. I already put Grimlock on pre-order. $1500 is a lot of money but you would be surprised how much you can put aside and save when you cut wasteful spending in 4-5 months when this is released this November. This Grimlock is definitely worth it. Actually, I wonder if this Grimlock is in scale with the smaller Optimus. I am set with my Optimus but that would be a nice bonus for those who can get this Grimlock and the smaller Optimus.

Absolutely better than Optimus Prime. It would be awesome if Grimlock can interact with Optimus, and there a way to update Optimus’ programming so it can interact with Grimlock and any future releases. But unfortunately that technology doesn’t exist yet.
