This is an interesting fusion of modern bepop style jazz with west African roots blended with an improvisation of traditional east African movement.
I think what’s important is although the sound and movement are not strictly traditional, the feeling is preserved. All blockers are removed and the body is allowed to move unrestricted by fear or judgement, which we can see is highly contagious as expressed by the enthusiastic participation of audience members.

I wish he danced the traditional dance with the traditional music. That way, the music and dance will blend together and he will go to ecstasy. That will blend with his personality and traditional clothing.
Now it is a mixture of two worlds. I miss the authenticity. Otherwise, I admire him for his guts and for his success. I admire him for his patience and endurance. Good luck my friend.????????
