I tested the Oura Ring 5 for two months to see if its smaller design lives up to the hype and whether it’s worth the higher price.

1:47 I disagree. Since we are relying more on the data which we received from the wearables, it has to be accurate.

Monthly subscription for life = zero interest in this product.

I’ve been an Oura Ring user since 2024 and didn’t use any subscription. I love it and am about to upgrade!
@Gravage
July 27, 2026 at 10:12 am
@SurvivingAnimation I’m not sure how you didn’t use a subscription when it’s required to access any of your data.

@Gravage Well I’ve never paid for anything except for the ring items. And the data has been super valuable. Really helped my awareness of sleep and activity. And since I’m not any kind of real athlete (and don’t work out enough!), it was just good enough to keep reminding me to stay active.

So happy to see this video! I’ve been an Oura Ring 3 user since 2024! It finally no longer holds a charge for more than 8 hours. Gong to upgrade to the 5!

The paid subscription is a huge turn off. There are other smart ring companies that offer the same insights without the need to pay for a subscription .

On my third Oura Ring (V3 and 2 V4s). Not one has lasted more than 15 months, from either battery degradation or Bluetooth issues. Third ring now failing on Bluetooth and I don’t even care to fix it. My iPhone works for 5-6 years. Until Oura Ring can get to 2+ years OR introduces a unified subscription (I.e., Ring plus service), I think I’m done. Let me know how the ring is doing in 18 months.

Ringconn is miles ahead in hardware. Software for me is fine and it’s free.

$25 four-propeller drone with monitor and controls? Cool! Camping and hunting reconnaissance. Is everybody prepared for the age of silent, sugar-cubed size drone cameras with enormous ranges?

I am so patiently awaiting to see if Apple introduces a Ring at some point. Imagine an Apple Ring that fits into your ecosystem, doesn’t have an extra $6/month charge, and you could still use Apple Pay with it. I also think it would be great if these rings worked on Qi chargers rather than always requiring a proprietary charger.

Small, stylish, costly and your own data locked behind a subscription. Get real this is a biased review.
